Thrilling game. FOX has to be pleased with the Big XII today, Iowa-ISU and NIU-KU had to be two of the most entertaining games today! I sure hope that "play 5-7 yards off the receiver" isn't our base defense! Mix it up a little with some press coverage at least!

NIU is a good team, the OL was very experienced and the QB was great. Road hasn't been kind to KU since the Orange Bowl season, so let's hope momentum helps carry this young team through.

That ****ing 35 year old NIU QB dealt it out like a man possessed. Then again, he was playing us...

We have an amazing veteran offense but a goddam dog$hit defense that makes me wanna puke. You only get so many chances as a mid major program and we might have just blown our time window after tonights loss. disgusting performance by us

Just got home from the game. Question for those that watched at home:

Why didn't they review NIU's last TD, but they reviewed their first one? The view at the stadium didn't clearly show a TD.

Oh well. Once we converted the 4th down with a minute to go, I just knew we'd score a TD. Certainly made it difficult on ourselves, though.

Wouldn't be a rebuilding team if we didn't. All I wanted to see this year was noticeable progress from where we were last year. Wasn't even sure we would win more games even if we did. Offensively, we look much better. Defensively, still a work in progress. But, overall, I've seen enough progress to feel comfortable with the direction the program is headed. Hope we can get some talented D linemen in the future, or at least continue to develop the ones we got.

This is kind of the stance I'm taking with the team this year as well. Today's game was the first I've seen of them. However, today's showing was enough to convince me to go to the game next weekend agains Ga. Tech. since it's local for me. Looking forward to it actually. Was really impressed with Webb today. As others have also stated, dude reminds me a lot of Reesing.

I've said from last year that Gill's main issue with this team was that he was left with no quarterback whatsoever.

It appears that the work Webb has put in the offseason has paid off more than anyone expected.

So excited to see where this young man can lead KU's football team into the future. It's time time to get on board with HCTG guys. He knows how to identify talent and it's just going to keep getting better and better.

Let's not get ahead of ourselves.

I only got to listen to part of the game. Be honest with me though, is our offense really this good or are we just playing shit defenses. Its obvious our D sucks.

D is pure dog shit. Offense has improved and so has Webb. Not crazy good, but better than last year.

D sucks, hoping Forbush is declared either completely cured of his prostate cancer or the new dc has a vision from God and decides to run away to Utah to save the Mormons.

Simms and the freshmen are going to be one of the best stables of running backs in the conference in two more years.

And Biere hauled in a couple of incredible receptions.

Certainly a lot better than losing at home to NDSU 6-3. How pathetic was that? This feels pretty good. NIU is a good team. A good program.
