Today exposed why Cassel is what he is, he can't pick the team up and put them on his shoulders. Ever.

And he WAS trying. He just can't.

You're becoming one of my favorite posters. You save me alot of typing.

That.

And is his success stemmed from having stud WRs and RB?

He has a decent enough arm. I think his upside is greater than anyone else in this draft not named Luck. At worst Barkley is another Cassel. At best he is more. If he were to come here would he not have stud WR's and RB?

It was also on the offensive line, the defensive line, the coaching, hell, the entire ****ing team. This was as close to a team loss as you'll ever see. Pathetic.

Yep. I went to my first game this year and sat in the gold seats courtesy of some free tickets. Great seats and I saw everything, while the offensive line didn't seem prepared for the blitzes Cassel shits his pants way to early and he is an inaccurate passer as there is in the NFL.

no one played like pros today ...

With Cassell you can win a few games here and there. But he is not the answer if KC wants to compete season after season. Finding a franchise QB is darn tough, thats why only a handful of teams seem to possess them. Unless Cassell can prove that he can have us competing in every single game, he is not the answer. We as KC fans need to hold the QB to a higher standard. Too long has this franchise been the epitome of mediocrity.
But he is a viable stop gap solution, who allows the front office to focus on building the other key pieces and when the time comes replacing him with "that elite QB".

I agree, I think the o-line was the main culprit today. Cassel could have looked a lot better if he wasn't fearing for his life. Why else was he running like Vick today? He was running for his life.

Didn't read any of it, but Cassel will never win us a playoff game. We need to work on getting a franchise QB.

I'm pretty sure the Chiefs have had their fill of USC qb's. No thanks. Let's draft another out of position defensive player.

It's not Philip Rivers' fault that the San Diego defense gave up 45 points.

The difference is that Rivers is making this competitive with an impressive 38 points showing.

No matter how good our defense is, our team is going to have to win games where our defense isn't looking so hot.

Except 2 or maybe 3 of GB's touchdown's were the direct result of Riverceptions

This loss belongs to Cassel and whoever is calling the plays... KMA.

Hey dumbass. Rivers directly gave the Pack 14 points with his play today. 2 pick sixes. The stupididty on this board is awesome.

Well he was right. Rivers was the "difference" in the game.

Yea, thank god Cassel didn't take any chances in an attempt to keep us in the game. He graded out perfectly.
