What will be the excuses for the OL if they come in and have the same issues?

There is nothing that can happen that will make Cassel appear any better then he's shown he is. The O line sucks too so :shrug:

Playing a backup against a cupcake at home is one thing, taking an unproven qb on the road to NE is another... You better hope Cassel is healed.

Everyone is so willing to give the OL a free pass because of Cassel.

I agree he sucks and doesnt help it at all with his play. But the excuses for the OL are getting old.

This lines is like a swinging gate. They were getting three guys, THREE guys to the QB most of the day and several times 3 guys got there before he got back to the end of his 5 step drop. They beat him there!!!!!

That is freaking pathetic....

I have to believe Pioli see's Cassel for what he is. Injured or not I see this as a win win.

If he plays it will be embarrassing to the point of losing your job if you continue to stand behind him.

If he doesn't play we'll get to see Stanzi and see where we stand at QB going into next years draft.

I don't care if we lose by 70, I don't want to see Cassel ever again......

You'e never seen me post anything positive about our O line. There's not one position on our O line that we can count on to execute it's responsibilities play in and play out. Yeah Aaron Rogers would make our O line look a little better but probably only a little. I don't undrstand posters who are willing to settle for avg or slightly below avg o linemen because they want a ligit QB so bad. They should be wanting upgrades at both.

You are 4-5 and one game out of first.... if you were 1-8 then what the hell do you have to lose but until you are officially out of it I don't think it's a good move.. I seriously doubt Cassel is done, The Chiefs have alot of money invested in him and will not pull him barring an injury unless he really stinks the place up and I don't think he is a great QB but he can manage a game and do just enough to keep his job.
