Just for the record, the Patriots team that lost by four points after having the lead until the final minute of regulation just had it's best offensive weapon have surgery for multiple torn ligaments in his ankle.

You can't bitch about injuries, but I sure as hell wish Gronk had been GRONK and not gronk in the Super Bowl. :(

Patriots tight end Rob Gronkowski had arthroscopic surgery on his injured left ankle today, the Globe has confirmed.

Gronkowski underwent surgery earlier today on his left ankle to repair multiple torn ligaments, a team source confirmed. Orthopedic surgeon Dr. George Theodore performed the operation at Massachusetts General Hospital.

Liz Mullen of the Sports Business Journal first reported Gronkowski had ankle surgery.

Gronkowski suffered a high ankle sprain in the AFC Championship game. He played in the Super Bowl, but was limited to two receptions for 26 yards.

I'm sure all that dancing he did post-game was good for the ankle...

And, P.S. I usually don't feel this way about marginal players, but Bernie Pollard can go DIAF. He's a walking mountain of bad luck for the Patriots not because of any unusual skill he has, but because he just has a cursed aura or something. Beyond weird.

We wish we could have had our best CB in the Super Bowl, plus a couple of others. -- So, I know how those things go -- ;)

Pollard, SB MVP.

Probably a NE win with a healthy Gronk.

Patriot Fail?
There is nothing fail about the Patriots during the Brady era.

Unless your best CB is some guy named Revis, then yeah, I doubt it had the same impact. We had a couple guys out too from IR, but having half a Gronk was REALLY bad.

No doubt White-Boy-Can't -Dance was playing at half speed.

Seemed like the Giants lost some key guys to injury during the game too. G-men have the D to beat the Pats.

I said OUR best CB!

The Patriots lost twice to the Giants in Super Bowl(XLII, XLVI)

Simply say congratulations and move on!

Hey, Amnorix: Is this the guy you're afraid of on the field? - #24? My memory of #24 was of him jumping out of the way to avoid getting run over by our running backs on Christmas Eve. Oh, well, we play the Jets once every four or five years ...
