That kid survived. You can see his body flying onto the freeway. I saw a show about this, something like "I Shouldn't Have Survived" or one of those shows

A few years back, a client of mine was driving in Omaha w/ her kids. Some guy ran a red light and hit them pretty hard. The sad part was her daughter had unbuckled her belt to get something just seconds before the impact. Her little girl was found on the road next to the bumper. She was still alive, but she was bleeding internally and they couldn't save her. :(

The guy wasn't a legal citizen and he didn't have a license. So he wasn't even suppose to be driving!! I'm not trying to send this to DC, but if illegals want to live here, they need to do shit by the books, get their citizenship, and learn the rules of the road! /vent

I'm sorry to hear that. Most people know what a red light means. It wouldn't have mattered if he had a license or not. Citizens drive without them all the time.

I passed the semi in front of me on the right and as I accelerated I spun out of control when I hit black ice on a bridge overpass. I was spinning out of control and saw the headlights of the other semi bearing down on us. The hand of God, or luck, pushed us to the side of the road into the snow bank as the semi roared past us. Otherwise, it might have looked like that video. My life past before my eyes. Yes, I was a stupid 19 year old driving drunk.

No, it wouldn't have looked like that video. Big difference in colliding with a vehicle going the same speed and direction as you than hitting one head-on.

bet the driver of that car caught in the middle didn't drive for a few days.

I'll bet he didn't poop for a week.

WOW. That was hard to watch.

Quick question though, why on Earth was that guy filming it?

With all the dash mount cams, a lot of people just let them run every time they are in the car.

Probably a truck driver with a dash mounted cam, it's not uncommon these days

Sucky 03-17-2012 07:55 PM

Ah gotcha.

Plus in road conditions such as that i always drive in the right lane, never the middle. Lessons to be learned from such a tragic mistake.

Get the hell away from trucks.

*Ahem* Ouch. Hey, douchebag... FTR, I have yet to be in a major accident and I'm always extremely cautious around semi-trucks and courteous to the drivers. So, um, kindly STFU.

Yeah, most people do, but from what I heard, he was "new" to the whole driving thing, (young kid). He was driving a buddy's truck to a job site or something. I never did find out what happened w/ the charges, but last I heard, they were just going to deport him back to Mexico.

I wonder if that truck driver was listening to Van Hailin at the time
