For ****s sake people, when playing with Kyle Orton, Barry Richardson, the ****ing afterbirth of pass blocking RTs in the NFL didn't give up a single sack. Against Oakland, Denver, and GB, teams that despite their deficiencies defensively, all get after the passer relatively well.

People either A) Don't understand how ****ing historically bad Cassel has been and B) How much average QB play can help your offensive line play.

So you're saying going into last year with two rookies as your only depth was good? We have to have more depth than that kewl guy.

I guarantee you that a guy like Peyton Manning or Drew Brees couldn't win in Arizona right now. The only reason that the Raven even made it to the Super Bowl this year is their OL play. Joe Flacco is not a good QB. He was made to look good by his OL and his running game. Just like Trent Dilfer in 2000. Just like Jim McMahon in 85, Rich Gannon with the Raiders, and countless others. QBs don't win games people. Teams do

JFC!!! Has it ever occurred to some of you that Dorsey MIGHT just be opening doors to other options on draft day? There is no Andrew Luck this year that all but guarantees to be the #1 overall pick. Therefore, John is keeping other teams guessing as to who we might take to get opportunities to trade down for more picks and yet acquire the person he wants. Unless Brandon Albert is asking for a ridiculous contract, he'll be out starter at LT next season. It wouldn't surprise me in the least if Albert gets signed and kept under the table till after the draft

We could also use a Safety, CB, another RB, a TE that can stay on the field, and some DL.

Also very little correlation between college success and nfl success when it comes to QBs. But that hasn't stopped the Geno obsessions.

ROFL

I'm pretty sure just about every NFL starting QB not named Matt Cassel had a ton of success on the collegiate level.

I guarantee you the number of successful college QBs who were garbage in the NFL, is much higher. Not many QBs get drafted without some form of college success. Some of the best college QBs in history have been mediocre or hot garbage.

He had a shitload of yards passing because he threw the ball more than most QBs ever do.

That's great.

They won because of him, and in spite of their shitty LT.

And he got hit a TON because of his shitty LT

Hootie 02-23-2013 06:10 PM

if in his prime Donovan McNabb was our starting QB we'd win 11 games next year at least.

in short, this team primarily needs ONE ****ING THING and talking about anything else is stupid

I don't give a shit about who are swing tackle is or are backup long snapper

The colts were not a real 2-14 team. Not even close. They made the playoffs for two big reasons, one was they weren't actively trying to tank, the other was having a somewhat competent QB.

Luck's numbers were not grey at all.
