LOL the longest and slowest run in the history of football to beat the jets in week one of that season ahahahahahaha.

that run took forever.

A player can be a "bust" w/o being a first round pick. NFL history is full of examples. Unitas was a great player, but he wasn't considered to be much early in his NFL career. There are many guys who started slow or who were in the wrong system.

The whole "change of scenery" thing is bullshit IMO.

That's total crap. A change of situation helps or hinders plenty of players. Why do you think players who flop in their second contract at a different team clamor back and sign with their old team for cheaper?

I guess it is kind of rare.

I guess Cedric Benson would be one.

Detroit took 2 or 3 WRs with their first pick in 2-3 consecutive years, it was when Millen was the GM. The only WR that panned out was Calvin Johnson. The other one was Williams and then wasn't there another WR or was it just those 2?

Did you ever see Bernie Kosar run? That's a whole new definition of forever, man.

There was indeed another WR selected.

Charles Rogers, then Mike Williams, then Calvin.

I actually REALLY liked Charles Rogers. Drugs, and injuries ruined his career. He had real potential though.

Yah, Rogers was supposed to be great. Mike Williams was kind of a sketchy pick as he only had like one good year, but he was big. At least Megatron panned out for them...

Well Mike Williams had to sit out that year because him and that dumbass Maurice Clarett tried to challenge the early eligibility rule. He got fat, and then sucked.

I would say Megatron worked out quite well hahaha.

Calvin Pace was a disappointment when he was in Arizona and played well with the Jets.

Rausch 08-19-2013 10:33 PM

I wonder if Kerry Collins qualifies?

He was really good for Carolina and then flamed out with the infamous clip of him smoking a stogie as he left the cop shop.

After that he went to a SB and took the Titans to a 13-3 record...

Minor league football? I thought people stopped saying that about the AFL in the 60's, you know... right after the AFL beat the NFL in a superbowl?

After the GB dynasty was over the AFC pretty much owned the SB for over a decade...
