I know you don't think it's great, but I am telling you this voice control for your tv is great. I rarely use the remote. I am having a blast with forza and deadrising. In 3-4 years when you can notice a graphics upgrade I will re-beast the pc. I'm not getting rid of it. |

Console for sports.
PC for everything else. I'll probably end up with a ps4, but... it's hard to justify spending $500 on something that was obsolete in the tech world about 3 years ago. |

It happens more and more each console generation. They keep getting closer and closer to being full on PCs, hell I think next generation will actually have upgradeable parts. Lets see ps4 and one. You have to still download the game in installs to play, sounds like a PC. You have to get patches and updated notes to play online, sounds like a PC. If there is a problem with the game it gets patched or it does not. There have been a few multiplayer games that you cannot play anymore on Live or Ps3, gauntlet legends because they went kaput. Happens to PC games also, does not mean it is the systems fault. So another thing I hear is you cannot sell PC games? And? Most people do not sell their console games. And when you do most people get a small fraction of the cost back, Average is around 5 bucks. Unless you swap that shit after a few weeks. PC games are much cheaper from the start to buy, So if you spend 40 to 50 bucks Get zero return, you spent 40 to 50 on the game in the end. A console game you are spending 50 to 60, if you are the average user, you keep that game a long while, you trade it or sell it for 5 bucks, hell even 10 bucks, your end amount for that game is still 40 to 50 bucks. Something else that is funny, though I am getting both, the new consoles look like flat towers. Hmm. |

For starters, you're not going to stick with the same rig for 8 years. At the same time, I don't think I could really recommend an AMD core at this time lol the rig they used as an example is a poor investment It's also assuming console games never are on sale, which is ridiculous. To go on from there, Playstation plus is actually cheaper than live but yet the chart fails to reflect that. I can walk into gamestop on Friday and buy a year long membership for 30 bux and realistically, this generation lasts 7 years tops. So in result, if we're going to assume deals, I could get the subscription service for $210 over the life of the PS4 which is less than half of what that chart reflects. I think the costs are a lot closer than the chart implies and really it comes down to preference. I like the graphics and mods that come with PC games, but to be brutally honest, I've had a lot more fun playing console games for awhile now. |
