Well as expected the highways are good. The roads around Topeka are not great but not terrible. I got around just fine with my front wheel drive car. I did see one or two city trucks out plowing but I'm sure it will be awhile before all of the roads are cleared. Topeka is notoriously slow at getting the roads clear.

I'm going to get out for a bit and check the roads when I drop my daughter off at the gym. If conditions are as they appear, we'll probably make it.

I looked around the Topeka KDOT twitter and they say road conditions vary but starting to melt and hope they will be mostly dry by afternoon (at least thats how I interpretted it, I dont speak twitter very well)

KCMO hasnt plowed or salted a single road all year and cars are wizzing by like its any normal day.

I'm driving around now and roads are decent, just drive a tad slower.

I was considering making a surprise appearance to this but I really don't like basketball in February enough to justify 3+ hours of driving on shitty roads today. I'm not sure what my point is but if we could make this thread about me for a while, that sure would make me feel better.

Hard to make it to Topeka since you always have an awesome Springfield get together to look forward to. We understand.

Main roads in Topeka aren't bad at all. Just slush.
