Stop looking at stat sheets.

I don't understand this idea that game managers don't lead game winning drives?

It's in the "how", which he's not looking at.

There are so many definitions of "game manager" that is is a meaningless term. Most fans use it as an insult. Most coaches don't see it as a negative. When Andy Reid called Alex Smith a game manager he wasn't being negative. When you use the term you are being negative. That makes the term worthless.

Again, you have your definition. It is only your definition, not the definition of anyone else, and that was my point.

And go **** yourself with the Alex Smith shit. I didn't mention him either until this post, dumbass. But since you mention it, his play in the last few games does not fit your definition of the word, yet you still consider him a game manager, right? That shows how useless the term is.

I'm not being negative at all. You just can't stand objectivity.

You are not even close to objective. You are extremely opinionated. Opinionated is the opposite of objective.

Because fawning all over Alex Smith like he's your ****ing boyfriend is "objective".

You claimed that guys that are "consistently good in the clutch aren't game managers"

I show you that Matt Ryan has been the BEST NFL QUARTERBACK AT THAT EXACT METRIC

You tell me to stop looking at stat sheets as a response?

Really?

How is Matt Ryan not good in the clutch, but is the nfl leader in game winning drives?

BossChief 02-01-2014 01:20 PM

Matt Ryan was also 2nd in the league in third down conversion percentage behind Peyton Manning.

Still not consistently clutch?

Watch the games.

He's terrible in the 2 minute drill. Despite the high number of comeback wins, he doesn't play consistently good in the 4th quarter.

I can go and dig up splits and show you how the guy performs down the stretch, consistently. He's not special and never will be. He's solid. Alex Smith is a far better QB.

Chiefnj2 02-01-2014 01:34 PM

"Game manager" is the same as "franchise QB". It's whatever you want it to be.

BossChief 02-01-2014 01:40 PM

I watch every Atlanta game that doesn't play at the same time as the Chiefs and have drafted for them the last 4 years in the cp mock because I watch so much of them.

If you want to try and throw out splits, how about the fact that third down was EASILY his best down, according to espn splits?

I'm not sure you have a leg to stand on with claims that Matt Ryan isn't clutch.

BTW...since you brought up an Alex Smith comparison...care to guess which points in the games he was at his worst?

O.city 02-01-2014 01:44 PM

Playoff clutch? :)
