i imagine the Chiefs would love to move Flowers for a 3rd and would jizz if they could get a 2nd. |

He's a QB, of course he did. But his value compared to Flowers last season means nothing in this debate. We have up a 2.1 and another 2nd rounder in "TEH DEEPIST DRAFT THE LAST 20 YEEEZ!!!" for a guy that was probably worth no more than a 3rd at the time. |

If the playoff game is any indication, that money was extremely well deserved. |

newsflash: chiefs open to shitting down their legs year after year.

People put too much stock into PFF's final grade.
Flowers had the toughest assignments of any of KC's corners. Cooper and Smith gave up more TD's. Flowers IIRC got beaten pretty bad by Dez Bryant, but held his own against other top WRs. He held DJax to 3 receptions, Welker to 3 in the 2nd matchup. Not much help over the top, etc. They will need to restructure his deal for next year, but to act like some 3rd+ round draft pick is going to come in and easily replace him is just a pipe dream. |
Flowers is a bad fit for Sutton's D.
He's not fast enough to cover man on man with no safety help and that seems to be pretty much the coverage Sutton runs more often than not. |

Oh - and he's constantly hurt and makes a lot of money and he's old for a corner. Yeah I'd say every team wants a guy just like that at LCB. |

Flowers was playing the slot most of the year |
