As the guy who drove the bus on the make fun of Tristan Thompsons contract for the last year the Lakers just made me eat crow for giving that contract to the 2nd worst pick and roll center in the league with stone hands.

We live in a world where Mozgov one of the worst centers in basketball makes as much as Clay Matthews of the Packers, one of the better talents in football.

NBA is the only sport today where you can be absolutely dog shit at your role and still make more money than other good athletes in diffrent sports.

Chandler Parsons might get the max from Portland

21 million a year for 50 games a season, bad knees, and a guy who is never healthy for the playoffs. Thats what you pay for in the NBA I guess in 2016.

Whiteside staying in Miami.

Dear DeRozan staying in Toronto for 5 years $139 mil. I can't imagine how excited KCC is by this.

Lakers lost

Probably going to sound like a stupid question, but what's wrong with the Lakers? Seems like they can't even get a seat at the table for the top FAs.

Raptors have to re-sign Biyombo now. Or else I may have to find a new father.

Little Jimmy.

The only saving grace for the Mozgov deal (and really, there isn't one), is that at least it isn't a max deal so it's not tied to the cap. DeRozan's deal will go up with the cap, so will anybody else that gets a max contract (and I think there's a 'mini-max' that's also tied).

So Mozgov's deal, as frighteningly shitty as it is now, will get slightly less shitty next year when the cap goes up by about 20% and then slightly less shitty the year after that before it can be traded away as an expiring in year 4.

It's a bad bad BAD ****ing deal, but when the smoke clears, there will be worse given out over the next year or two.

Is there a chance to rid themselves of him? Seems like a total dipshit.

And what they really need is better defense. They will not be getting that from Parsons.
