Good point. And still the defense only gave up one TD. This is year 4 with the same QB and offensive system. Offense should be better. Its not. There's a reason for that...

Considering how conservative we are throwing in the red zone, I'm not sure that's terribly impressive

Yep. Chiefs were 50% on third down, Tampa Bay was 69%. The NFL average is 39%

Bucs only had to punt twice all day long. That is ridiculous.

stevieray 11-20-2016 04:35 PM

both squads sucked on third downs.

And over that time span we have one of the best records in the league despite being in one of the most competitive divisions in all of football. Reid/Smith must be doing something right. That's why they get the millions...

Wrong again. I know so little about football, yet i understand when a defense is ****ed up with injuries and an offense needs to win some games and take some TOP away from the opponent by being better on third downs.
Jesus christ. Laz telling people about football when the dude has the worst takes on football.

Injuries or not, dude we missed a shitload of tackles today.

kcpasco 11-20-2016 04:39 PM

The offense is also missing their starting guard, number 1 wr and rb.

I agree, but the defense can't play lights out every game. It's just not going to happen. When is our offense going to put a game on its back? When?

Discuss Thrower 11-20-2016 04:40 PM

It's the defense's fault they couldn't keep the other team under 10 points.

Exactly, with the defense hurting, the offense needed to step up. Alex isn't that guy if he isn't going to be a threat with his legs. Otoh, our running game should also be criticized. We haven't run well since the Oakland game.

I am more pissed about the BS call on 1st & Goal and to a lesser extent, the dropped pass by Kelce more than I am the Smith INT. Smith throws so few INT's I am not going to be mad at him for trying to make something happen.

Though he bares some blame for the loss because of it.

Yet Smith doesn't score enough touchdowns to warrant the terrible Interceptions he throws at crucial times either.
