They seem to think that when a doctor says, "You're healthy enough to practice football again under ______ conditions until we see ______ signs that you can do limited snaps in games" it means, "Well, you're not quite there, but **** it. Your coach is calling me at ****ing home when I'm trying to watch Westworld, so I'm gonna send you on your way. If it starts to hurt, take some Tylenol and suck it up."

It's like people think Justin Houston is a goddamn video game sprite. "What's his injury status bar at right now? 88%? Damn, we're so close. That's enough to put him back in the lineup, but it's gonna mean a -4 to his close-out speed and -9 to his agility. Not only that, but his injury evade is gonna be really ****ing low at around 55%. I don't think we want that. Better to invest those next two weeks until his status bar reads at least a 95%, if not a 100!"

They have no ****ing clue about reality. None whatsoever.

Yes, all the Maddenness around here can be quite maddening if you're looking at it just so.

That's of their own volition. What the guy told me imparted the notion that there isn't any sort of arrangement where KU is the medical arm of the team. Trainers and the like are hired by the team from all over the country.

However, my sister is a physical therapist and did a lot of work with Denver pro teams when she was doing her clinicals. From what I have been told is that the therapist working with the chiefs and broncos are complete jokes.

Basically NFL teams are very cheap and actually pay their therapist below market value so the best of the best don't waste their time unless the player comes directly to them.

Personally I think this would be incredibly stupid on the teams part but that is directly from a person in the business.

I bet the Broncos save money on their medical team because they have such a simple concussion protocol. Just look at the scoreboard and give the player a passing grade if the Broncos are trailing.

Swelling in the knee, just like Jamaal. This season is ****ed.

Any surgically repaired joint is going to swell from use occasionally, don't piss your pants yet

Ok, so whats the real deal on this? I knew his knee was bothering him and it was possible he may miss this weeks game. Ok

Yesterday on 810 they seemed to think Houston wont play again this year. ???

Obviously the Chiefs have said nothing of the sort, but has anyone heard any actual insiders hint its more serious than previously thought?

MTG#10 12-24-2016 09:59 AM

As much as I love seeing him wreak havoc on opposing QB's he was not worth that contract. Hindsight 20/20 of course, not blaming Dorsey.

Red Dawg 12-24-2016 10:00 AM

Houston will probably sit the last two games. Pitt will beat Baltimore and that will give us a WC spot. Andy won't push him.

Injuries be are a bitch. The Chiefs wasted a lot of money on him.
