Cutting Reid saves you 3 million right?
|
After dumping Dorsey, who would have ever thought the Chiefs could dramatically improve their roster with just 8 days before the season. These are termendous moves that provide depth and protection in areas this year but huge opportunity next season.
Mother****er, I'm crushing hard for Brett Veach. Didn't see that coming. Damn! |
I wouldn't wet yourself just yet. These guys need to actually develop a little

The Chiefs value versatility more than most teams and Erving has played multiple positions, as has Ehinger, Fulton, Morse and Schwartz. |

People getting hung up on draft picks. Meanwhile we have the 6th youngest roster in the NFL and are only going to get younger once Tamba and Alex are out next year. Plus these guys have multiple years of control on cheap rookie contracts. Key is going to be whether they fit our scheme and coaching. Good news is we get to see whether Veach can actually evaluate players or not ASAP...

With Erving's money added in, you'll end up saving a tick shy of $1 million but you'll also actually clear Reid outright (as opposed to having to eat the remaining $750k next season) so ultimately it's a win. Erving really does look like a baby giraffe trying to play tackle sometimes, though. He's feet are just so damn bad - no kick step at all, no instincts and his balance is shit. I still can't believe the Browns (and Direkshun) thought that guy was a 1st rounder. |
