Didn’t see where Mortensen said KC is a front runner

You don't trade away future assets for a one year rental.

Agree with this.

Yeah, which is why he's dicking off in Seattle. I don't think he gives one single **** where he lands, as long as he gets the financial security and a raise.

KC would have to quickly do a new deal as his current salary would be difficult to eat.

Money next year is a raise

So do we give Seahawks two 2nd round picks for Thomas ¯\_(ツ)_/¯

KC hasn’t gotten any impact from 2nders like KPass or Speaks so far and has 2 2nds next season. I’m fine with it if he signs an extension. He’s an impact safety that would help out the backend tremendously. You have a window while Mahomes is cheap. Do it.

Edit: adding Thomas with Berry if he comes back would be legit. That’s scary. The you’d have Parker, Watts and Sorensen who is good as a depth safety more than a starter.

let's throw out the trade and pick. If Earl Thomas hits FA this off-season youd be stoked about the Chiefs paying him money through his likely age 33/34 season?

The only difference is the draft pick and we'd get him this season. Id be excited about it now but I don't think it's a smart move

No.

I'n saying that Thomas, alone. doesn't significantly improve this defense.

I can't remember an NFL team mortgaging it's future this way.

The Seahawks did it with Percy Harvin, Jimmy Graham and Sheldon Richardson and now they suck because of that.

We better not trade a 1st or either 2nd for this guy.

And you’re wrong.

wow if we get earl thomas and get rid of fisher, while having a franchise QB we will have come full circle and somehow won the game

Would you people stop reminding that senility is setting.

Aw....screw it.
I'll probably forget this conversation later today.

It may not be smart...but it may be smart. Being safe hasn’t gotten this team a damn thing. Being bold does. Trading up 17 spots got them Mahomes.

No. They suck because their drafting has been terrible. No commitment to the oline. None.
