It's a good use of 32 if they stay there and don't trade down (which makes more sense if you're going CB, which has some depth in that range) rather than LB. He has huge upside and the ability to add a 5-year, 3-down LB who plays at a star level behind Jones and Clark is just too nuts to pass up, IMO. |
Wow, he was on NFL radio after the SB talking like he was ready to test his value in the open market. Sounded for sure like he was gonna go somewhere else for 8-10 MM.
Nice. |

I’d rather go wit Chinn for those reasons, but if they’re comfortable with it I am. |
Kick ass! This is really the only thing else I wanted to see.
Great job Veach! |
If we re-sign Jones and extend Mahomes this offseason.....we’re going to have so many ****ing comp picks to work with next offseason along with our normal draft picks.

1. Not really a market for his services. Yet Fuller got 40M. I don't get it. 2. CoronaVirus - I mean he can't visit teams, and you have to be thinking its waaaay better to be under contract than not. 3. Easy to return to KC. I think he's been the best CB the Chiefs have thrown out there in a while. Every CB is going to give up some play, but he's there, and he comes up big. And what I don't get is that he's only 28. Love this guy! |

The biggest threat to us getting Murray or Queen are the Ravens and Green Bay. I think we have a chance to get Queen due to his inexperiance, GB signing a LB this offseason already and their need for a right tackle and WR. So maybe Veach senses this and get this deal done knowing we'll be getting an LB in the first and all the best cb's will likely be gone by the time we pick again. Willie Gay gives us a good option if Queen goes though.

I can’t believe he didn’t get more money than that. That’s a smoking ass hot deal.

Breeland's been passed around the league. Teams know what he can do and no one was offering him enough to leave the Chiefs, who had been wanting to re-sign him. As I mentioned yesterday about re-signing Breeland, the Chiefs are way ahead of the curve because they're bringing back more than 22 guys that started at one point for them last season, which should be a huge advantage considering the lack of OTA's, minicamps and workouts at the team facility. All they're missing is a game changing running back who can carry the load for the better part of 19 games. |

Outside of maybe a few players like Tannehill (who really scored), most the deals around the league have been fairly modest due to uncertainty with the upcoming TV negotiations. |
