Man it IS weird.
If this guy blows up we're going to be calling him Lizard Prince. <blockquote class="twitter-tweet"><p lang="en" dir="ltr">It’s scary how much Cornell Powell looks like Sammy especially with the 14 on <a href="https://t.co/tbh0x24CcY">pic.twitter.com/tbh0x24CcY</a></p>— Braiden Turner (@bturner23) <a href="https://twitter.com/bturner23/status/1393691881419075586?ref_src=twsrc%5Etfw">May 15, 2021</a></blockquote> <script async src="https://platform.twitter.com/widgets.js" charset="utf-8"></script> |

Powell will see action when he learns the playbook. As to him being Sammy's replacement, is he planning on spending much time in the trainer's room?
I don't think you can take a lot away from the limited action we've seen. No pads, no vets, and a lot of guys that will be insurance salesmen come September or before. I'm not looking for any of them to be Game 1 starters except Niang, but I do expect to see some of them get their shot before the season ends. I'm not even sure Niang will start if Schwartz comes back healthy. |

While I'm ALL in on Smith and can't wait to see him eventually start, it seems very doubtful we'll see him in there immediately... he's going to need some refinement and a chance to see how vets go about their business first Quote:

Like last year, there’s going to be a ton of market inefficiencies in 2021 draftees.
It’s very likely the Chiefs killed it again. |

Absolutely. The NFL has proven that half or more of GMs and front offices are incapable of pivoting when circumstances change. Even a respected guy like Mickey Loomis was whining last year not about safety but about the lack of in-person visits for free agency and how the NFL should delay the opening. This year with no combine, few in person visits, and shortened or nonexistent game tape from the past season, the draft was held anyway and a bunch of these guys were probably like, “derp not enough scouting!” Veach has proven to be forward thinking in his short time as an NFL GM. He largely outsmarted a bunch of teams last year, and on paper he probably did the same thing this year. |
Let’s go, Colin Powell!!
|
Man, if Powell could grasp the playbook well enough to play big snap counts year 1, it would really bode well for the future.
I could see him being a Sneed-like mid-round guy. Someone who makes a big year 1 Contribution and outperforms his draft slot by a large amount, giving KC a bunch of cheap early production AND more flexibility. |

I keep making that same mistake. |
I've got him down for 37 grabs, 421 yards and two TDs.

Gah, Teicher's questions are cringe-worthy at best. :banghead:
