They have a week to figure out a new game plan that accommodates all of those backups.

Hopefully HB will be back and maybe Fenton. But we have to come up with something creative for Burrow\Chase

Their offensive line is not good. Our pass rush delivers, we're going to cause some serious problems. If our pass rush doesn't, our secondary is going to be out there matched up with Chase, Higgins and Boyd and we're going to be in a real battle.

so true about secondary. No Fenton, maybe Mathieu, maybe Ward after being beer trucked by Allen.

Sneed, Hughes, Baker and Sorenson spell disaster

First game against Cincy was schizo. We were steamrolling them in the first half, then came out and did nada in the second half. Bad D, O was ineffective and hampered by atrocious officiating, and coaching was ugh...so bad, esp on D.

Double Chase. Get pressure with front four... minimize the blitzes. Keep their receivers in front of you. Hell, we may want to play cover-2 zone. Minimize their big play potential. The Bengals are explosive. Burrow is legit, and Chase is their Reek. Higgins and Boyd are no slouches either. Bracket Chase all day long. Make Burrow look elsewhere. Hell, if we can get them to focus on Mixon, we will have a much better outing.

On offense, hit the accelerator and do not let off until the game is over. If we jump out early, great! Just don't relax or let off. Seemed like the second half we were on cruise control. Hopefully the lesson was learned and we continue the boat race into the second half.

Did anyone notice the Vegas Pro bowl commercial last night...It featured like 7 video clips of players.

One was of Cooper Kupp and another of Ja'Marr Chase. Five 49ers were selected, no video of them..no video of the Chiefs.

It may be nothing...but it was a strange decision for the NFL to market/sell players from teams that are still in contention...given they highlighted such a limited amount of participants.

If we can get Fenton and Mathieu back….

Put Sneed on Higgins and Ward on Chase. Bracket Chase the entire game and make their other WRs beat us.

We do not need to blitz this team. Their offensive line is so bad and Burrow will just hold onto the ball too long anyway. Double team Chase, don't let them have anything deep. We will destroy these frauds.

And for the love of God move Hitchens down to the third LB and let Bolton and Gay get more work.

Well, they aren't going to do that but it sure would be nice. It was pretty telling seeing some of the throws Bills made over the field and Hitchens had no chance of stopping them from getting to the corner due to his lack of speed. He's only 29 but damn he's gotten slow.

I guess he did run a 4.75 40-yard dash for the draft, which isn't great. Willie runs a 4.45. Bolton runs it in 4.6 and appears to have much more explosiveness in 5-10 yard sprints.

Pretty simple formula...dont let Chase beat you.

Their OL was terri-bad....and with Arrowhead noise?

He wasn’t out there towards the end of the game.

Have there been any updates on Mathieu?

notorious 01-24-2022 11:52 AM

The Bengals played their best (and luckiest) game with a ton of ref help while the Chiefs didn't.

We'll see what we draw on officials. That will determine if this is a 3 point win or a 14 point win.

chiefforlife 01-24-2022 11:58 AM

Obviously Sacking Burrow is NOT the way to beat Burrow.

9 Sacks? 9 ****ing sacks and he was never rattled.

Rush 4 and hope they can get pressure. Double Chase all game!

Send ONE Blitzer on third and longs. Double Chase all game!

Score points in the second half AND the first half. Double Chase all game!

This should be an easy game for Spags to plan for.

And Mostly, Let the GRIM REAPER, REAP!

Glancing over a few Bengals forums, their fans are oddly confident.
