Toney came into the league as the more complete WR. Of course, Hill has the acceleration/speed advantage, and had the best offensive/receiving coaches at his disposal in KC and has become one of the best overall WRs in the NFL.

Hoping Toney can reap similar benefits.

and he's STILL not a natural catcher of the football. Hill is a body clutcher far too often. But he's a great TRACKER of the football, in addition to being the fastest guy on the field.

Toney appears to be a hands catcher, and by all accounts has excellent spacial awareness. So yeah, there's reason to be excited.

I wish someone would put together a blocking highlight reel. Because there were several big plays yesterday where he was feisty as hell. Absolutely love it.

This guy is going to be huge down the stretch.

When is the last time the Chiefs picked up a WR and he played this soon?

Dialed up the first play out of the gate for him. How come they didn't do this for Moore? Just because Toney is a vet?

duncan_idaho 11-07-2022 08:22 AM

He’s such a unique package of skills. To have those elusive qualities but also be strong enough and big enough to power through tackles for extra yards, while also being a hands catcher who tracks the ball well AND who has legit 4.4 speed, it’s just a great package.

I’m not sure you could go into a lab and make a better WR for this offense. I guess you could pump his speed up another tick, but he’s plenty fast.

He also seems to have really great instincts and feel for the game, to boot.

I’m excited.

Starting to get really concerned for Moore. Rookie struggles are one thing, but he seems to have a non-existent football IQ. Remember Mahomes getting in his face for not getting downfield properly on a free play he'd chucked down there for him.
