Amazed that we had one, TBH. We graduated so many prospects last year that you would think most of our best would be in the back half of the top 200 or so. I kinda' thought Kudrna had a shot at the bottom of the top 100, but Cross...why not. I'll be watching Wallace, Bowlan and Tresh (and possibly Jensen) to move up those lists as this next season progresses.

KC’s minor league hitters didn’t come roaring out of the gate, which makes the challenges steeper for the next front office/manager.


So, where do the Royals stand? Likely fighting it out at the bottom of the AL Central. This is a transitional time with a new owner who moved on from longtime executive Dayton Moore this winter. Is the new régime a continuation of the old one’s retro-mediocre management style? A placeholder for something better? A group that intends to modernize how the team is run? Nobody knows yet — another question the Royals need to answer urgently. The team’s current plan of being good a couple of times every two decades and hoping to catch lightning in a bottle in the playoffs is not my personal favorite management style.

One year 3.75 million. Good signing at that price. All upside and very little downside.

Makaiel (or whatever, you know Escobar & Acunas cousin) Garcia had a nice winter league.

Garcia is .323/.444/.498 with 4 HRs, 13 doubles and 5 triples in winter league. 58 games with 46 walks and 33 strikeouts.

He may be better than Witt Jr...at least at SS.

We just signed Aroldis Chapman to a 1 year deal.

If we don't have a problem signing Chapman, then we definitely won't have a problem signing Bauer if that was an option.

He still has stuff, if he has a good year he'll get flipped at the deadline.

Was Quartraro on the Cleveland staff when Bauer was there? Supposedly Francona can't stand Bauer so stuff like that could play in.

Costing your team a World Series because you were screwing around with a drone would do that, I think.

Yeah obviously the allegations are the biggest thing he gets attention for but it seems like people forget the guy has a history of questionable decisions.

Why? We have a great young exciting core and like to see what they can do under competence coaching.

Why are people so sensitive? Twitter is literally full of people melting down and accounts the cover the Royals being unhappy.
