30-50 percent fiO2 is a more typical initial setting This is definitely more in BRC territory than mine. Him only needing ventilator support for 50% of his breath could really indicate that they are beginning to win sedation. A lot to digest, so I’m just trying to think out loud a little. *****edit after reading about arresting twice and proning***** Hearing that he arrested twice and they are proning him (positioning on his stomach) is a little concerning to hear. Maybe they really are weaning the FIO2 and had him at 100 percent. |

Yeah. The tweet made it sound like he’s stable at 50% so they’ll slowly lower it and watch vitals. Sort of like any wake up from surgery but probably slower. She gives 50-60% oxygen to start most surgeries so his amount of 50% is a good place to be. |

Me too. It definitely helped me feel better about the whole 9 minutes of CPR and his potential prognosis not being automatically terrible. |

I heard a TV reporter that he had fluid in his lungs. Could be why he was placed on his stomach.

Thought that was typical after CPR? The fluid, I mean.
