Dude is playing/living in Miami getting PAID. This was a win for Reek even if people think winning another superbowl should be the priority. |

I've taken jobs for the money and soon became full of regret. He wants to come home, I'd welcome him with open arms. |
It wasn't Tyrek's fault that his QB had three concussions. :thumb:

Great player, sure. But he leaves and the Chiefs still have the league's top offense. Maybe he wanted to prove it was him making the team great and not Reid/Mahomes/Kelce. I think he proved more than he wanted to prove. |
I am more than happy with the draft capital and cap space. Was happy when it happened, and more than happy with the results. Tyreek is a HOF player but if we kept him and we were the #1 seed, our window would be tighter and shorter than currently. We have all seen the cap space/restructure/draft capital position going into 2023 and we are #11 with no current competitors anywhere close. This trade was a huge win. Good luck Tyreek and thanks for the fruits you brought us with your labor making this trade possible.

Yes, I think it's one of those trades where both teams won. But more importantly for the Chiefs, "trade Hill" looks like it's going to win big over "pay Hill".

Think how many "Fast" WRs flame out in the NFL. Most of them, Im talking world class fast. Usually thats all they are.
Tyreek is 5'10" with world class speed but thats not all he is. He puts everything into his craft and his body. Built himself up to be able to play in the NFL even at his size. Became one of the best WRs in the game by working his ass off. Much respect to the Cheetah. I was crushed when he was traded but he got everything he wanted, who could blame a guy for that? Miami will soon realize, (like today maybe) that putting that much money into a WR isnt going to get you there unless you are a WR away from being a SuperBowl team. They are not. Now they may have to start over at QB. Wasting prime years of Tyreek and huge chunk of their salary cap. I could see him getting cut in the next year or two. Trading him would be hard with that contract. Maybe he comes home to cement his legacy after that? A guy can dream, cant he! |

He's got an insane $50m cap hit in 2026. They will either extend him to reduce that number or he'll get cut, as you say. |

Reek is certainly getting his targets and Tua looks REALLY good. Nice thread.
