The last dumbass salesman I actually granted a physical meeting with didn't know **** all about the product he was selling, how the application would improve my business, or even how efficiency is measured in a manufacturing setting. He was a greasy, slicked up moron who was making a living taking advantage of people who had Peter principled themselves into a position they had no business being in. I told him to make sure he makes all the money he can now because before long someone is going to figure out he doesn't know anything and he could be replaced tomorrow by some other slick talking idiot with 1% more brains than he has.

That's pretty much where I'm at (but not retired)... obviously if you really love a job, then rake it in while you can, but if I was making $400k+/yr like that Philly person (I'd first move out of that shithole), all that money would be going to work for me so I could retire sooner, work at some job where I could just talk to people about beer or something, and just have a bunch of passive income coming in.

And of course I say that while not making $400k/yr, so who knows... maybe I'd really get used to first class vacations and Super Bowl packages and $100 lunches, requiring me to rake in that much every year. :shrug:
