I’m ready for the big nasty kcnut mojo to turn this thing around, close this thing out and seal the ****ing deal with a parade

Maybe I'm just a contrarian. When everyone was happy (most of the first half of the season), I had my concerns. And now, while everyone is losing their minds, I'm not really phased at all. To me, they absolutely should've won the Eagles and Bills games (never mind the Lions game) -- despite playing far below their potential -- and it gives me confidence that if KC simply hangs on to a couple passes and doesn't make OUTRAGEOUSLY FLUKY mistakes, they're gonna win when it matters.

No, they're not the 9ers or really any of our recent teams. And I've totally given up on the 1 seed. But the idea that they'll lose to some garbage wildcard 6 seed? Nah, I'm not seeing that at all. Everyone's making the same mistake as usual: treating a team at its worst as if that IS the team. But come January, I'll put my money on Mahomes and the rest of the guys stepping up.

Minus one on the turnover ratio against a motivated bills team off the buy and again lost because of our mistakes. I can see us easily winning the last 4 and gaining some momentum heading into the post season. With this defense, we have a chance.

-Veach goes hard this offseason to fix the WR's with all of the money he saved.

Yeah I don’t want it to go down this way. But as I’ve said all year I feel like the chiefs take mahomes and kelce for granted. We won’t anymore. And I’m crazy excited about what this offense is gonna look like with veach and Reid motivated as hell to improve it. For now, I’ll just hope for the best. Even if we turn things around I don’t think there’s any doubt the front office has a clear message that they need offensive weapons this offseason.

PunkinDrublic 12-11-2023 07:25 AM

I mean the schedule lightens up significantly and none of these AFC teams are running away with it. It’s deeply disturbing to see the offense not being able to execute on game winning drives.

chiefzilla1501 12-11-2023 07:48 AM

It reminds me of the days with grandpa bob on defense. I never ever root for this team to fail. But there was also the sense that if dee ford lined up onside we may have held on to Sutton. Shudder. I still don’t want this WR room to fail but I also don’t want the message to be lost that we can’t keep doing this shit to mahomes and kelce.

I think you see mahomes pound the table and demand veach make some moves. I wonder if kelce threatens retirement if we don’t get him help. So yeah I’m in this grandpa bob moment where I’m furious where we’re at while at the same time relieved and excited that we have a fire lit.

I was delighted to see the focus was going to Rice and Travis. I also liked that our defense fought back after giving up 2 early touchdowns.

Rainbarrel 12-11-2023 08:25 AM

Bills dropped from #13 to #17 in draft, McDermott's job was saved. Chiefs though stay at #25

Fat Elvis 12-11-2023 08:31 AM

At the same time that KC receivers lead the league in dropped balls, Mahomes is still on pace for his highest career completion percentage.....

Calcountry 12-11-2023 08:32 AM

Even though the Chiefs played like crap for most of the game, they still had a chance to win that game?

While I didn’t see much of the game live, on replay :

Clyde looked like an able contributor.

Defense played great.

Herewego 12-11-2023 11:28 AM

The defense has played well all year.
