13 pressures surrendered by Taylor over those 3 games. That's pretty ****ing poor OT play. Morris just surrendered 11 in one game.

I understand the frustration with the team, however, I do not understand any ounce of disbelief.

They're going to be the toughest out in the playoffs. I still firmly believe, just as we witnessed the past two years, they are going to turn it up several notches in the playoffs when it comes to focus, intensity, and game plans.

They have a huge LT issue. Guess what? They did last year too. Smith didn't even start until the playoffs began coming off over a month of rest. This year it's Humphries. IDC if he isn't as good as he was last year even - he will be a clear cut upgrade over the current shituation that loses all too often, all too fast.

Joshua Williams showed life at CB2 yesterday. We can get by with his talent and experience. The pass rush showed more life than it has in awhile, thanks in large part to Omenihu's return (which looked better than I anticipated and will only improve).

Hollywood is coming to add more speed and ability to separate vs. man. Worthy looks better every week. Hopkins has earned Pat's trust to win the back-shoulder ball, and that is a huge development - believe me. Pacheco will only knock more rust off.

I honestly wasn't even that mad yesterday. This is just who this team is going to be as long as they continue to get everyone's best shot week in and week out while they play the long game, doing all they can to survive and advance to the real season.

They need to keep winning and earn the bye this year. I won't dispute that. But if/when they do, look the **** out. If you don't believe, go ahead and get that crow ready for when the bill comes due.

I mentioned it last year before the playoffs started and I stand by it this year as well, give me the team with the most playoff experience until they are eliminated. Last year that experience, in my opinion, was a huge reason why they did not fold despite the gauntlet they played.

The group in their 20's started chanting "fire spags" when it was 17-16. They were calling Mahomes a pussy, and some folks a few rows behind me who based on their comments the entire game, never played a snap of football in their lives were yelling similar things like Andy, Spags, Mahomes and Kelce could actually hear them. It's like little kids screaming at their Mom for not giving them the right peice of candy after they have had a handful already. It's actually quite disgusting at how insufferable these folks are during the golden era of Chiefs football.

Holy ****, so THAT'S who this thread is about. :shake:

If the Chiefs were responsible for finding ways to Win at the end of games, I think everyone around here would feel pretty good. yes, this statement is odd because you could say "but Moli, they ARE finding ways to win!". However, it seems to me like the Chiefs are trying to find ways to lose and just can't because other teams are so inept, or the Chiefs get insanely lucky.

I don't think living on that edge is sustainable, and that gets people nervous.

Now, will the Chiefs turn it on in the playoffs? History says most likely... so the sky isn't falling.

Personally for me, I love tuning in to watch Mahomes do something magical every game. I love to assess and watch the offense work... but I will say this season has been the most frustrating one to watch in Mahomes career, because it doesn't seem like the team is getting better, but worse.

Woogieman 11-30-2024 09:56 AM

The "Player x is trash" posts get very old very quickly, but when it's very apparent that week after week, for the better part of two seasons, that the team or many, if not most players are underperforming the standards we watched them set a short time ago, it's hard to watch. Are they saving it for the playoffs like an NBA team? Could be, but good luck with that...lightning striking twice and all. I imagine most fans just miss their Ferrari and can't get used to driving a 1971 C-10.

Considering the "right time" is still about a month away, I'm not worried.

It's hard to picture this type of performance making it to through the playoffs and three-peating.

Guess we should start a thread about it!

Imagine the meltdown during the game a few years ago - Some CPrs would be screaming:
If Stenerud could make just one of those MFing field goals we'd have beat Miami. Cut that worthless scum.

What did this guy know and when did he know it

Personally, I've believe that I've been spoiled by the spectacular play of our QB. I have gotten so used to Patrick making 10+ unbelievable plays per game that when he misses them, I feel disappointed. I think it's a bit like an addiction, getting so used to the good feelings that when they don't happen, it's a big letdown.

Have to remind myself that this is entertainment and everyone on the team is a year older, a little bit slower, a little bit more beat up, a perhaps not quite as motivated. The real difference between a 11-1 team and a 6-6 team is just a handful of plays.

This year has been a lot of changes and I've been using sports (Royals and Chiefs) to distract myself. Retirement, dealing with Medicare, 93 year old Mom in the hospital, new HVAC, dental implant and crowns, yada, yada, yada. I'm ready for some distraction from the grind and everything just seems like a disappointment. Probably not going to see the 2019/2020 Chiefs ever again and that makes me sad.

Mahomes’ health and the health of our other stars is my primary concern in all of these games, yes. Wins and losses are secondary to that.

I've been b!tching a lot. More than I should for sure. I'm usually pretty buzzed up by the end of the game and shouldn't be allowed on here when I've been drinking. I think I got spoiled. This team has been so good the last 4-5 years. Mahomes has and is the greatest football player I've ever seen. We just expect this team to score a lot of touchdowns and win comfortably. Especially against "bad football teams"

Yeah but we have the Swifties now. Their game thread was very upbeat with over 1,000 comments, although they were worried about the Raiders center at the end.

Close games? Tayvoodoo is real besties.

New fans are great. All the wives in my friend group insist on watching chiefs games. They’re big college football fans so many of them aren’t casuals to football. They even buy gear. A lot of my friends who are forced to watch the chiefs because of their daughters. It’s been awesome in my experience.

They love kelce to the point that they will fight anyone who slanders their family.
