But I can’t come up with a single reason to be intimidated by this game at this point. Not one. The Chiefs to me are on a mission and they’re far from done. Andy coaches against BB as good as anyone, we have the MVP at quarterback, the best offensive weapons in football, and the defensive formula to beat a Patriots offense—especially beneath the crowd noise of Arrowhead.

Since Belichick has taken over in New England they have only given up 40 points 7 times. That is 342 games! The Chiefs under Andy Reid own 3 of those times

pugsnotdrugs19 01-13-2019 11:33 PM

Just look at these numbers looking at pressure rate against Indy:

Quote:

HOU had a pressure rate (including sacks) of 31% during the WC matchup.

Before the last drive when KC pulled starters, they had a pressure rate of FIFTY PERCENT.

If you include passes batted at the line, Luck had 58.8% of his passes against KC's starters affected. Ridiculous. - @barleyhop
https://twitter.com/barleyhop/status...700004867?s=21

I mean what am I supposed to do with that? Ignore it?? Indianapolis has a better line than the Pats and the Chiefs kinda had their way with them.

ESPN's FPI gives the Chiefs a 66.2% chance to beat the Faketriots, higher than it gives the Saints over the Rams (62.1% chance).

The Saints should win, but if the Rams are able to run the rock like they did against DAL they have a great chance

Rams have a higher ceiling, a more explosive team on both sides of the ball that already put a 50 burger on us. The Saints haven't really looked like their peak form in quite a while now, their win vs Philly wasn't especially impressive.

New Orleans also just lost their best defender to an achilles.

We don't need anyone giving the Patriots locker room material. Brady is already crying that everyone thinks they suck and can't win.

If we were playing any other team, I wouldn't care, but like it or not, they have played in the AFCCG the last 7 years, and they know how to use whatever they have to in order to motivate themselves.

Andy Reid has shown he can go toe to toe coaching against Belichick. We've actually played well against New England in while he's been here. I like our chances. I really think we have about an 85-90% chance to win.

I don’t think that matters in the playoffs. Chiefs and Patriots will both be at maximum motivation all week and during the game on Sunday. Better team will win.

Your team wouldn't know about that...well, they kind of do. Reid plastered the Pats 41 to 14 and benched Brady their last trip to Arrowhead. The NFL couldn't have Terrific Tom being exposed like that...so all KC/NE games, on Kraft's orders, are now conducted elsewhere. Even then...KC beat them on opening night.

Chiefs/Reid are a BAD match up for Belichick...

Your team is about to enter the loudest stadium on the planet with 49 years of pent up rage.

The collective energy there is going to be like some giant ritual/sacrifice harnessing the power of the gods. They just held the 2nd best passer in the NFL to 12 yards in the first half.

AFCE has easily been the worst division in the NFL for nearly 2 decades.

BlackOp 01-14-2019 02:27 AM

My CT is Kraft has a mole with the frequency coordinators involved at Foxborough.

When they have so many bands of wireless communication (headsets)...someone has a list of who is using what channel on a specific band. It keeps radio, television and the coaches from 'stepping on" each other. ...like Reids headset from being on a newscast.

If someone had information on what band the OC/DC units were assigned...it would be pretty simple to tap into it and listen.

They have already been "busted' for the in-house guys being on the same channel and causing "drop outs" in the Steelers headsets.

Some sports news guy accused them of knowing the plays today...it sure looked like it.

It sounds complicated but it really isn't....if you know the exact number you can tap into the communication.

Vick has been a good person since that. And let’s not pretend Belicheat doesn’t bring in guys with questionable histories. Josh Gordon was rewarded for being a druggie? Blount for being a complete asshole and Randy Moss also. So go eat a fat dick.

Vic isn't playing this weekend. Your Patriots are facing Patrick Mahomes II not Michael Vic.

Just thought I'd burst your bubble.

Go CHIEFS

Hi Chiefs Fans. I'm an old-time Pats fan not looking to cause trouble or troll.

Just curious what you think of this stat.

Mahomes QB rating with Hunt: 117.9 (12 games)

Mahomes QB rating without Hunt: 101.7 (5 games)

What are teams doing? Playing more zone? man? Less blitzing? is he injured?

Thoughts?

I'm not living in the past this is now with Patrick Mahomes II.

Tom Brady is soon to be outed by a younger better talented and smart with the football quarterback.

Guys like Williams are stepping up so even though we lost a dynamic player in Hunt he is replaced and Patrick is good at spreading the ball around. He can drop a dime on our fullback Sherman down the field for a Touchdown.

It's been an adjustment losing Hunt but he was replaceable in this offense. It's getting back in tuned.

Those games we were without Sammy Watkins so that may have more to do with drop in QB rating than losing Hunt.

You probably went to UMass-Amherst, which is fine, but take collective credit for the work of others.

Kind of like Bill Simmons.

Yes play zone that is exactly what the Patriots need to do to stop Patrick Mahomes II

It's crazy to think that Brady has played in the AFC Championship game every consecutive season since Mahomes was a freshman in high school... Mahomes was in 8th grade the last time the Patriots failed to make it this far.

Hunt was an exceptional talent, and oh, a couple of those games without Hunt were against the Ravens and @Seattle, teams that mix up coverages and play really good defense. Those early games were against teams that scored quickly and have junk defenses. It took the team a couple of games to figure out exactly how to compensate for Hunt's departure, but if you look at the numbers, the rushing average has remained fairly static. We also overhauled our defense @Seattle, putting two youngsters in as starters and switching to more 4 man fronts, which has paid dividends. For how much the talking heads trash our defense, they overlook two things :

1. Most teams were playing from behind. Way behind. So they threw, a lot. Often against soft zones and prevent defenses.

And

2. The Chiefs lead the league in sacks and QB pressures.

I'm only worried about the RBs and Edelman. If we can shut down the running game/catches out of the backfield and put the clamp on PEDelman, Ford, Jones, and Houston can tee off on Brady, make Super Bowl for Chiefs.

How's dem X's and O's?

Williams ran real well vs Indy. Hes a legitimate concern for sure. Seems like he runs stronger between the tackles than Hunt did.

Yes- No Watkins although we locked him down regularly when he was with BUF. With that said BUF always sucks.

I think for us, not having Hunt out there is a blessing as he destroyed us in the passing game. We will most likely still allow a ton of points to y'all but it's a threat we don't have to commit additional resources to. It'll allow Chung/Devin to bracket Kelce, Hill will be bracketed by JC/Jason and we'll leave Gilmore alone on Watkins.

We'll mix fronts on the young Jedi in hopes of making him go through multiple progressions. I bet we rush 3 50% of the time and if he wants to run, great.

With that said we'll still allow over 30 and 450 yds :-).

It's gonna be a great game.

ROFL

No shit.

Belichick knows better. He knows he's gotta get pressure on PMII. Mahomes figured out that vaunted Patriots D in about a quarter and a half in week 6, and our defense is so, so much better now than it was at that point in the season.

But yeah...since the Patriots are absolute dogshit in man coverage, I suspect they'll play a lot of zone. And Kelce will eat that shit alive. Because he's the best tight end in football.
