Here is the Detroit Lions draft class in the 2020 Chiefs Planet Mock Draft.
1) J. Okudah CB, Ohio St. 2) D. Swift, RB, UGA 3a) J. Uche, DE/OLB, Michigan 3b) D. Peoples-Jones, WR, Michigan 4) B. Bartch, OL, St. John's(MN) 5a) J. Blackmon, DB, Oaklahoma St. 5b) D. Pinter, OL, Ball St. 6) Q. Davis, WR, Texas A&M I was able to draft the top CB and RB in the draft which were huge needs. Uche gives the pass rush some needed juice. DPJ should emerge as a starter to replace Marvin Jones. He can also return kicks. Bartch just got some love from Terez Paylor as a possible Chiefs pick in the 3rd. He gives the Lions a future starter on the line. Blackmon gives them some safety depth after trading away Diggs to Seattle. Quartney Davis could be a replacement for an aging Amendola in the slot. When you finish 3-12-1 the roster needs help everywhere. I was able to significantly increase the athleticism with the Lions first four picks. Bartch and Pinter provide depth on the OL with real starting potential. Patricia loves depth in his secondary and Blackmon provides that as a defender with some versatility in coverage. This team took the Chiefs to the edge in week 4. They need to keep Stafford healthy and if they do a trip to the playoffs isn't out of the question in 2020. |
The Chargers select John Hightower, WR, Boise State.

Shocked this guy is still on the board. Then again... as I say that, he's now the perfect candidate to go undrafted.
The Cleveland Browns select Kalija Lipscomb, WR, Vanderbilt |
The Buffalo Bills select Dante Olson, ILB, Montana

Kind of intrigued by the potential here. Too early to take him? Maybe, but ehh... **** it.
The Green Bay Packers select Josh Love, QB, San Jose State |
KurtCobain PM'd me his pick-- a draft strategy that I'm kind of shocked we have not been utilizing more often in this draft. This might be the first one? Damn...
The Indianapolis Colts select Colton McKivitz, OT, West Virginia |
With a clack clack clack of hobnail boots, a resplendently dressed man enters, wearing the garb of a 16th-century conquistador.

He picks up the card from the Tampa table and walks to the podium, his sword swinging at his hip. He surveys the crowd.
"Ladies and gentlemen," he says. "The draft is about replacing aging talent with young talent. The draft keeps an NFL team young. In a way, the draft is a fountain of youth. I am Ponce de Leon, and with this knowledge my quest is complete." "We have searched the known world for a young candidate, and we believe that we have found him in the unexplored reaches of the midwest, drinking from the fountain of Champaign." https://www.ancient-origins.net/site...?itok=-U282LhR "With the 194th pick in the NFL draft, and with the blessing of the Queen of Spain, the Tampa Bay Buccaneers select Oluwole Betiku, DE, Illinois." |
Ponce de Leon sends a ship to China to communicate the news to Marco Polo and notify him that he's on the hourglass.

Tampa has now completed their draft, with the following bounty of new seafaring buccaneers.
1-14, Justin Herbert, QB, OR 2-45, Jonathan Taylor, RB, Wisconsin 3-76, Lucas Niang, RT, TCU 4-117, Amik Robertson, CB, Louisiana Tech 4-139, Leki Fotu, DT, Utah 5-161, Tyre Phillips, RT, Mississippi State 6-194, Oluwale Betiku, DE, Illinois Coming into the draft, our main needs were running back, the right side of the offensive line, and a long-term quarterback. We're happy with how things turned out. Herbert was an opportunity grab since we have an ancient starter. He'll sit for a year, but that's a good thing. Taylor is a Week 1 starter, most likely. Niang is a likely Week 1 starter, though Phillips will compete with him. Phillips will likely move in to right guard, though, where he's well suited to compete for the starting job. Robertson was a luxury pick since we've got good young CBs on the roster, but we think he'll be a great slot corner in nickel and dime situations. Fotu will move into the rotation with Vita Vea at nose tackle. Betiku is purely a developmental pick. He's got the measurables of a first round guy, but he has no experience. We can afford to have him as a backup for a year or two to develop. We had some secondary needs at TE and WR, but didn't find the right value in the right place. If Herbert hadn't been available, we likely would've gone OT in the first or second round and then grabbed a receiver later instead of a quarterback. But Herbert gives us a long term plan. |
Well done, Rain Man! We will miss your narratives.
The Pats are back on the clock and have four of the next 19 picks. This next pick is an area of need but is also a value pick. This is the kind of sneaky pick the Pats typically make that becomes a pain in the ass RB for other teams. I wouldn't mind it if the Chiefs pick him up. The New England Patriots select Ke'Shawn Vaughn, RB, Vanderbilt |
Thank God he lasted to my pick.
The Chicago Bears select Quez Watkins, WR, Southern Miss |

Round 7 is up. Last one.
Chargem, I hope you did your ****ing homework on late round dudes, because it looks like your teams have 7 picks in this round. Four picks in the last 10 selections. Also it's strange to see how Chargem, RunKC, and Marco Polo have all of the picks to finish out the draft. That's just kind of how it worked I guess. Blame the people who figure out the comp picks. |

He might go undrafted, but end up a good player that has a long career if he ends up on a team like Pittsburgh. |
Let's keep this thing moving.

The 49ers draft Alohi Gilman, S, Notre Dame.

With no remaining selections, the Colts draft looks like this:
Trevon Diggs, CB, Alabama Tee Higgins, WR, Clemson Adam Trautman, TE, Dayton J.R. Reed, S, Georgia James Morgan, QB, Florida International Colton McKivitz, OT, West Virginia That's a damn good hail of players to add to an already deep roster. |
The New York Jets select Marc-Antoine Dequoy, S, Montreal
|
The Pats have back to back comp picks:
The New England Patriots select Isaiah Hodgins, WR, Oregon State The New England Patriots select Keith Ismael, G/C, San Diego State |
With the final pick of the sixth round, the Seattle Seahawks select Steven Montez, QB, Colorado
The plan is to coach him up for a year or two, then flip him to Gruden and Mayock for eight first round picks. |
One round to go
|
The Cincinnati Bengals select Darnell Mooney, WR, Tulane
Bengals search for a compliment to Ross and Green. Comparison to Tyler Lockett if the bengals get this type of production in the seventh round they did a great job. Needs to add some weight and strength but his skills can’t be taught. |
Ok Cincinnati Bengals draft is done tell me what ya think:
Tua Tagovailoa, QB Alabama Grant Delpit, S, LSU Curtis Weaver, DE, Boise State Damien Lewis, OG, LSU Jonah Jackson, G, Ohio State Carter Coughlin, OLB, Minnesota Darnell Mooney, WR , Tulane Ok take out Tua pick because I know it’s a questionable pick here but what do you guys think of rest of draft. |
