6 tackles, 1 sack, 1 TFL? stud |
Yep, Chenal played a hell of a game.
Gay also had 8 total tackles and led the team with 2 TFLs. |

Watching the film back... Willie Gay had his best performance in coverage and maybe his best career performance period in this game. In the Super Bowl. He's become a really good coverage LB. Like probably, easily, top-10.
|
Willie has damn near become a must keep. I would prefer to try and get a deal done with him the off-season at a lower rate.. but he might be wise not to take it
This isn’t a criticism… but Bolton is good. Very good. But he will never be a Warner/Wagner. He’s just athletically limited. And that’s what makes this duo so perfect for each other. Bolton is Mr reliable. Reads the run great, doesn’t miss tackles, gets the reads right. Etc. While Willie is your heat seeking missle |
Well, you know if we don't spend a bunch of money on stupid free agent wide receivers, we can afford to keep the Willie Gays, Nick Boltons, and Sneeds.
This is why I don't want to do that shit. |
Quote:
I’m all for extending Gay and Sneed if they’re fair deals. Sneed would be the priority of the two. You have another year before extending Bolton, which is a no brainer. |
Assuming we keep Sneed, our LB crew and secondary looks set for multiple years. We can focus 100% on the DL, which isn't terrible and has one of the best players in the NFL for at least one more year.
|
Have we heard anything about approaching him with a contract?

Draft and develop your WR's, I'm all for investing in the position, just not in paying market value when we've proven that's not necessary for KC to field a top flight offense. |

Veach is going to draft a WR, and go after at least one vet WR that wants to chase a ring. But some time in the next couple seasons he’ll sign a legit WR1. Just a matter of time
|
Thank you for saving the season on that huge fourth down stop
|
Knew it was probably inevitable even before Tranquil.
Vacuum cleaner salesmen in Chicago probably just got boners reading that Tweet, though. |

Gay claims it’s a new account and the chiefs are following him so it might be a real account |
It's from a new account that may or may not be Gay.

No way he's airing this out right now |

yes, let's depend on luck and our scouting department, again.:thumb: |
It's a fake account. Disregard.

it worked one time, out of however many that didn't really work out. And Rice is still a work in progress. Let's not get ahead of ourselves and crown him as something he's not, yet. And how much further along would Rice be right now in his development if Veach had acquired a Hopkins or a Thielen or some other decent vet WR, instead of relying on MVS to be the veteran leader, who can't teach Rice a goddamned thing except how to eff up routes and drop footballs? We'd be the 1-seed. |
They gonna call that?
Psshh |

Maybe he doesn't want to pay for the checkmark? |

Willie follows me on the gram so I can ask him but I am pretty sure this is fake
|
Willie is gonna spy Josh and make him hurt
|
Well yeah he’s gonna walk. If they were gonna keep him you sign him before he hits free agency
|
Quote:
This is a good plan.:thumb: |
Chiefs can maybe reel him back easily if the offers dont materialize...
|
That ain't him. He was @willieg___ awhile back and I believe he nuked his Twitter account.
I doubt he dusted off a new handle so he could announce he was leaving the team before a playoff game. |
I just talked to him.
That IS him. |
Quote:
Literally just left his house, and I was sitting in the room while he was on the phone with you. He hung up and busted out laughing knowing you'd start some boolshit rumors on here. I said, "That ain't your tweet?" And he kicked me out for asking. |

Peace, my man. I was just being a CP smart ass. I don't know what juice you have with players or whatnot but I believe you. |
Tell him he's a ****ing dumbass for posting that during the playoffs
|
Quote:
Then the gay part was certainly accurate |
Quote:
It's almost unBelizeable |
Quote:
He told me it's a contract year and from the rest (not posting it) he doesn't think they will offer him, but we will see. Not a fan of the timing. Yes kinda odd |
I'd rather he hang out with a vacuum cleaner than you.
(And PS - the vacuum cleaner is more famous than you too.) |
Quote:
He's still a really young man. Young man do silly emotional things. |
Quote:
That right there makes me want to find a way for the fans to make a statement that we want WGJ back. He’s EXACTLY the kind of player I wish we could give a lifetime contract to. Tell him to inform his agent that he wants to stay in KC. Wouldn’t it be incredible if WGJ, Jones and Sneed to all give hometown discounts to all stay in KC? Make up the difference in commercials for Clark’s soccer team or something lol |
Quote:
Man that makes me sad because he's a fave as a person and player. We're a better team with him, and his athelticism is the best of the LB corps. I do know we have a young dude in Cam Jones that was all over the field against the Chargers but that's one game against backups. Either way, not a fan of any of this for personal reasons. |
Yeah, that sucks. I wish he hadn't put that out there right now.
|
I'd take Drue Tranquill over him, tbh.
|
there's no way we can keep everyone, the sad reality. But at least you might get some comp picks. Gotta keep Sneed though

We will beat the Texans in the AFCCG at Arrowhead.
Tell him to knock Josh Allen the **** out |
I love Gay but with his neck injury and Bolton's hand injury, our linebacking corps looked weak in the 1st half against the run.
Won't mind him sitting this one out against the Ravens if he isn't 100%. We have good alternatives in his position that can help us out |
Quote:
|
If he can’t go activate Cam Jones. He was all over the place in the chargers game or call in a special delivery of the shit Peyton Manning did with his Neck issues.
