There's some misunderstanding here about line movement. Of course Vegas wants to balance the money they take - for the most part. But it's not always that simple. The public, in the past 24 hours, is still heavily favoring the Bengals, and yet the line dropped from -2.5 to -1.5 to now -1.

The last time this happened, the public was heavy on the Giants +7.5 vs Eagles, and despite that action it went to +8. They wanted even more money on the Giants, and none on the Eagles.

We saw what happened there.

I expect Sunday to go the same way. And if you pay attention to that stuff on Twitter or Reddit, all you'll see afterward is idiot bettors crying about losing "such a gimme bet". How did the Bengals lose, Mahomes only had 1 leg? How did Cincy lose, they looked so good the week before?!

But let’s keep blaming the offensive tackles on the highest scoring team in the league.

You do realize the fact they can do that and it still generates pressure is a MASSIVE indictment on both OTs, right?

Thought Melvin Gordon was wearing 34. That doesn't look like him next to PM II.

They weren't generating pressure quickly when they were doing that. Mahomes was holding onto the ball forever trying to find the open receiver. Are the Chiefs OTs all-pros? No, but they are sufficient to have this offense scoring points at a greater clip than any other team in the league and they aren't the reason KC has lost to the Bengals three times in a row.

PFF is gay. Burrow isn't better than Mahomes at anything, other than riding the coattails of his WR corps.

How is Mahomes even walking on that ankle? Romo said he would be "almost on crutches by Wednesday."

Well, Mahomes is the best in the league at mitigating pressure. When healthy.

The magic clearly hasn’t waned, but something is amiss from the pocket. One might ask why Week 13 was so arbitrarily used as the cutoff in the above table. The answer? That's when Kansas City faced its upcoming conference championship opponent, the Cincinnati Bengals.

Since then, Mahomes has been very ordinary when dropping straight back and throwing from the pocket. The Chiefs' approach appears to have become far more conservative, too. There are struggles at wide receiver, as well as a declining amount of man coverage being played against Kansas City since that Bengals game.

If recent trends hold, there will be many nervous onlookers waiting to see if Mahomes’ injury hampers his seemingly unstoppable improvisational skills. If that is the case, then we will see a battle of two quarterbacks dueling from the pocket. The difference between them? Mahomes has struggled of late from there, while Joe Burrow is currently the best pocket passer the league has to offer.

I wonder how much of those grades are a function INTs against the Broncos and nothing more?

Remember when everybody used to say that it was Mahomes that made life hard on his tackles??? These 8,9 yard drops he used to take regularly was mostly just him trying to buy himself an extra second or two before he got smashed. Watch WASP

As much as I love our interior OL men, and dislike out tackles. It should be an indictment on the whole OL that 5 can’t find a way to block 3, and keep Mahomes clean.

It's also an indictment on the interior offensive line that they can't get a push for the Chiefs to pick up a yard or an inch on those 3rd and short plays.

The entire offensive line needs to step up big on Sunday. Three Pro Bowl players on the line, the Chiefs have invested a lot in the line... time to show up on Sunday.

Well, the IOL can't really break off and go help the OTs not get obliterated without running the serious risk of a spy coming in untouched and wrecking the play

i hate our tackles as much as the next guy, but the pressures allowed as a raw number is so stupid. the chiefs are a passing team. mahomes threw it 650 times. both tackles played every game.

a handful of teams threw fewer than 500 times. more than 1/3rd of the league had 110 fewer pass attempts.

it should be pressures allowed divided by pass attempts. i guarantee both tackles, as much as i hate them, would come out looking better than they do.

He definitely has freaky physical traits. He wanted to play right after the kneecap dislocation. I had a dislocated kneecap a couple years ago and it took me many weeks to get back to normal. Can’t imagine trying to play sports right after that deal.

Kind of interesting Travis and Jason on their podcast mentioned high ankle sprains are easier to recover from if you have had one before because your ligaments have already been stretched etc...

Eventually though if you have enough of them you have to get surgery to tighten everything back up, I guess Jason has had this surgery already.

Considering the type of offense we're probably going to have to play, having Hardman AND Toney for this game will be so ****ing huge.

Yep. We can really mix it up in the running game with both of them plus Pacheco and Jet.

Everything is coming together perfectly.

I would love nothing more than a complete raping of the Bengals. End that shit 42-17.

It’s his right ankle, correct? He just used it to step up on the stage!

Remember Hardman's "Marathon > Sprint" tweet?

Makes me think this was the plan all along. Andy wanted him healthy for Buf/Cincy.

Not sure it will be that lopsided but the Chiefs are definitely going to shut them up. The Chiefs are winning this game.

Outside of the 2020 SB there isn't a game I want a win more than this game.

OLine better bring their big boy britches to the game Sunday. Nobody touches Pat, that should be their bond.

I think he still plays like patrick but only as a pocket passer.

Gentle reminder folks: the Bengals defense didn’t force us to struggle that much last time. Even with the Orlando Brown Jr struggles we only punted 1 time the entire game.

We went the whole field on the first drive and were a batted pass from a wide open Kelce from scoring a TD. Then we went 3 straight drives scoring a TD before the Kelce fumble and Butker miss.

And that was without Mecole Hardman or Kadarius Toney. There is no tape of those 2 playing together. None. And you know damn well that Andy has a bunch of new shit in his bag ready to unleash this week.

I think we’re scoring 30+ this weekend. 40 wouldn’t surprise me
