In fact, I don't even watch the Leafs anymore on Saturday. I just watch the 1st intermission to see Cherry's comments.

Dang. Did you guys see that? Those super-slider girls lost control and went down the whole track on their heads.

Holy crap!!! Another one!!!

This time the super-slider chick falls out!!! Disqualified, too. That's bad.

Super slider chicks are falling like little snowflakes through the air. Spinning and twisting and flipping and turning and crashing and slamming all over the place. The next ones seem a little hesitant at the starting gate.

I swear I've done that like 3 times today, and I'm not even drinking. I need to stop editing so much... :doh!:

I have determined that super slider chicks have nice booties.

Well, the Czechs survived their stupid penalties to keep it scoreless after one.

The better to leap out of their super slider while under duress. Additionally, I have determined that those well-developed thighs seem to make their asses look nicer.

I imagine that weight has a lot to do with world-class super sliding, Mr. the Talking Can. That's probably why all the top super sliders have small tittahs ... to cut down on weight. Plus, they don't have to worry about their big tittahs getting caught on their super slider while ejecting. Then, there's always the problem of bouncing. Bouncing is certain to cut down on their relative velocity causing inertia that is inversely proportional to speed versus distance.

I think the commentator was simply wrong and needs to look at more replays. Chinese girl's skate was on the ice, Korean girl's skate slammed into it.

edit: NBC story is now up, looks like thats basically what happened.

The South Koreans crossed the finish line first, but after several minutes of discussion among the referees, they were disqualified for clicking skates with China just after an exchange with five laps to go.

Kim was in the lead when her left skate blade clicked with the right blade of China's Sun.

Didn't know you had to fetch your helmet in international play or get off the ice... that sucks, they might win on a wardrobe malfunction.

I have a question ...

Does anyone know the "icing" rules in Olympic hockey? Do they call icing when the offending team is shorthanded? Or, like in the NHL, do they not call it if the official judges that a defender could have made a play on the puck?

No-touch icing in international hockey; as soon as the puck crosses the goal line the play stops. Short-handed teams can ice the puck freely. If the official judges a player is not making an effort to play the puck, he can waive the icing. Oh, and no line changes, like the NHL does.

Cheers
