It's a team game.

A significant percentage of CP lacks common sense.

Fortunately, a lot of the **** posters have been weeded out and have left this place. The overreaction here after week 4 was unbearable. Compared to previous standards, things have actually been okay around here after yesterday's loss.

Right, so all phases need to contribute...including the offense.

Even the Facebook TrueFans have given up on ASS11. Now that's bad.

What you are either missing or not wanting to admit is when we go towards the end zone, Smith does good. When we go sideways all the time, then not so much.

Why so poor in the redzone then?

You're right. It is a team game. So when is the offense going to do it's part?

But here's the thing - we've all seen this act before. We've lived it over and over, being dominant in the regular season and stumbling to loss in the playoffs. 20-4 in your last 24 games is great and all, but when you see HOW they've done it not one thing points to it being sustainable, unless we are expecting a pick-2 from the defense every week to give us a one point win. That's why I compared this team to the '95 team, we're winning with smoke and mirrors.

I hope TigerBob is right and Alex lights shit up in the playoffs to go along with the defense playing solid and Andy staying on the attack with his play calling. But....I've seen this act before, so I'll believe it when I see it.

Alex Smith kills a high % FG opportunity with a rookie-like INT into the end zone, the Chiefs end up losing by 2 points, but he wasn't the primary reason the Chiefs lost yesterday, so says his brain dead cheering section in this thread.

JFC.

This team excels at turnovers, protecting the ball (normally), and special teams. Everything else is mediocre.

Something is going to have to pop for this team to make a run. Hill might be that pop.

Look, they win as a team and lose as a team, we all agree on that. Letting the Tits get into field goal range in under a minute with them having no time outs is inexcusable. Why Sutton (seemingly) had them in zone in that situation makes no sense to me. Couple that series with Alex staring down Maclin in the end zone (with Kelce running wide the **** open at the 5) and throwing a high school level pick is a recipe on how not to win a game. That's not even bringing in Andy's shit decisions or shit play calling, either. Yesterday was a true team loss.

Yep. People are forgetting how bad 2014 was when our O-line was junk and our QB was running for his life to later have his spleen lacerate. We were stuck with a WR who wouldn't catch a TD all year and would sign with the Browns the following season to have less catches than Marcus Peters did interceptions.

3 of our 4 losses this 2016 season was decided by an average of 3.6 points. All losses have been to a playoff contending team. 2010 Packers lost 6 games by an average of 3.6 points before going on to win it all.

This forum needs to relax. Enjoy the games or I would suggest to quit watching. The debbie downers going on rants are making themselves and this place look pathetic.

If you don't think there are deep seeded issues with this team/system, you're nuts. You pull up a stat that's a little interesting by itself, but falls apart when other related stats are brought to the surface too...

How many games would this team have lost had it not been for ST or defensive scores? IOW, what would our record be had we only relied on the points the offense put up? Most people would agree that those things are awesome and entertaining, but I'm not sure there's anything you can dig up where Andy said, "we're not going to count on the offense to score enough points, our strategy is for STs and the defense to add enough points to what the O can muster to win games."

But alas, we're a Hunt owned team, he's like a little kid, Andy bought him ice cream after the game and they've forgotten it. It's part of their DNA, don't fix it, don't change anything, don't get mad, just ignore the problem and it's fix itself/go away. Lord knows it's been a profitable formula for the Hunts for the last 50 years, why tinker with it, right?

Yep. The worst part is that if the Chiefs execute basic football fundamentals this game is a laugher.

Common sense???? WTF are you talking about. You come up in here cherry picking stats like the loss margin, but ignore the stat's on win margins, and how many wins were pulling a game out in the oddest of ways.

Common sense dictates that if you're going to bring cherries to the table, you bring them all and be honest.
