In this draft, nothing would truly surprise me I guess, but I really don’t think he goes in the 1st.

I do agree that if he somehow were to end up in the 1st, it would be with the 49ers at 31 though.

Well..they missed then. I can't wait for tonight...throw out your mocks.

;)

I think Kiper has us going RB Taylor

ThyKingdomCome15 04-23-2020 11:45 AM

I change my pick....

Chiefs trade Chris Jones and get HENRY RUGGS!!! (plus a third rounder next year but give back a 5th)

Wrong.

Kiper & McShay have the Chiefs taking D'Andre Swift at #32.

Kiper changed his to Taylor this morning.

If one of the WRs that Veach likes is still at #32...I think he takes him. It gives the player a year to get acclimated to Reid's system and is a major cash savings in 2021.

If they are gone...I'd guess CB for need/cash savings too unless a top LB falls.

I dont think taking a center is an option...the positional value isn't there.

I think they wait on a RB...maybe moving up in the 3rd. They signed DeAndre Washington this off-season..

What a dick! I sat through the OU-Baylor game last night to re-watch some of the players, especially Kenneth Murray.

ESPN had McShay & Kipers 1st round mock draft on the ticker all throughout and both had Swift to the Chiefs at #32.

If Kiper suddenly changed his opinion overnight, it's just more proof that these mock drafts and mockers continually change their selections so they'll get more hits.

What do you think of Murray?

I haven't called my shot yet. And I have absolutely zero clue. This year especially. I could call my shot and be correct about the Chiefs targeting that guy at 32, but I would never find out because some team decided he was worth a top 10 pick. It's going to be crazy tonight.

I'm gonna predict Patrick Queen at 32. No trade ups or downs. A month ago I would have been sure he would be taken by that point, but who the hell actually knows at this point. Apparently Jordyn Brooks and Logan Ryan are both 1st rounders now according to some dude, so if that takes place, Queen is obviously going to fall.

I don't think it will be Cesar Ruiz. Every year there is a GM too chicken shit to take other talent on the board, and they settle for interior line. In a draft like this where GMs are bitching up a storm about how they didn't get the proper scouting time, I think some of these guys may just take players they perceive as safe. Thus, I think Ruiz will be gone.

There are probably 10-15 players we could take at 32 and I would say, "Okay... I see what Veach is doing. I trust his judgment." There are very few scenarios I can think of where the pick will happen and I'll bitch about it. One of those would be trading UP for one of the RBs in the 1st round. And the other is JK Dobbins at 32. I don't like him. When you draft a RB in the 1st round, he better be a really special RB, and I don't think Dobbins is that special. But even if we took him there, it's not like I would go ass crazy like I did over the Breeland Speaks pick. I'd probably just vent for a bit and move on.

So Eric Stonestreet was a huge part of the Chiefs celebration on the field when they won the Super Bowl. And now he's talking draft recaps with our freaking GM?

Like, he's funny and a great guy and all, but... why wouldn't you get somebody in Chiefs media to do that?

10 years ago Jordyn Brooks would have been a lock top 20 pick, a guy like Queen would have been called undersized and finessee and would have gone in the 3rd round.

The game has changed.

Raekwon Davis isn’t consistent enough to go in the first rd. He had one good year and then followed it up with 2 awful years in comparison.

His best shot is playing as a complimentary player on a good team with a good DC.

He’s Jordan Phillips

staylor26 04-23-2020 12:31 PM

SNR, how would you feel if they drafted Swift in the 1st?

Mecca 04-23-2020 12:33 PM

I think there are a few names that will annoy people.....if the Chiefs go up there at 32 and take Laviska Shenault there is going to be some complaining.
