It's got nothing to do with "great players on the waiver wire". It's simply better players on the waiver wire. If you're a 2-win team, there's a pretty good chance that a player cut from a team like the Pats, Colts, Steelers, Chargers, Titans, etc.,. might be better than someone you have. Even if it was a third-stringer they cut, he might be better than your second-stringer. |
