It was the number one offense in football. As in, the best. As in, the most efficient, scored the most points, with the most explosive plays, and most yardage. All of that.

Just keep stacking good football players. Don't worry about this guy or that guy or how do we replace this skillset. Andy will utilize good football players and find ways for Patrick to get them the football. It'll be fine. It'll be better than fine. There's a ****ing ZERO percent chance KC doesn't field a top five offense in 2023 barring catastrophic injury to Mahomes and Kelce.

Fix the OT situation, beef up the pass rush, and we'll be right there again.

In the short term, it would be nice to have a WR/TE corps that you thought you could win games with if Kelce was out.

In the medium term you have to figure out how you are going to survive without him...

Oh for sure.

But man….that’s a big ask to do every year.

It's the NFL.

Winning a title is supposed to be hard.

We're gonna make it easier than all but a handful of teams in league history over the next decade. I can live with that.

I've not seen Harrison anywhere near that high.

I'd prep for it. ;)

Sure, but my point was is that while WE don't know, Andy Reid and Brett Veach have a good idea what Noah Gray is, and what Skyy Moore and Toney are going to be. We only see what happens on Sunday, and we don't even know WHY, we just see the results.

I'm saying the cupboard isn't necessarily empty just because a lot of targets go to Kelce and Juju might leave. We don't know who's ready for a bigger role-but I know Andy Reid just said this week that he expects that Skyy and Toney will have bigger roles in '23.

And Gray may well, too. He hasn't failed, he's just been overshadowed.

We'll see. At any rate, I'm excited, not worried. I can't wait to see what Veach is shopping for and what Andy's going to cook.

Zero chance Harrison goes top 15 IMO.

I've literally not seen a single mock that has him going higher than mid twenties.

Well, yeah, it ain't going to work every year.

Odds are against anything they do working THIS year, as almost nobody repeats.

But this is the best way to make sure you've got a shot EVERY year. You don't do Rams shit with a Mahomes in his prime. That's dumb. You're going to waste chunks of his career.

You’re not gonna have chances every year. I think you push for 2-3 years, reset a year then go again

O.city 03-06-2023 09:52 PM

I’m not trading more than I did for Mahomes to go take a LT. Develop a lesser prospect if it comes to that

Again - it's that time of year.

40 guys are going in the top 20 and 40 more guys who go on the 2nd day
(and sometimes 3rd) "would be okay for us in the 1st"

I disagree, but IF we were to take that to heart, then how are you supposed to push when your QB is 23% of your cap, exactly? Doesn't leave much to push with.

'22 was the 'reset' year, and we won the damned thing. With 6 rookies playing big roles. Crazy. That's ****ing nuts.

We need upgrades at like three positions, and we have 12 draft picks and a little bit of money.

We'll be fine.

We don’t really know where we need upgrades yet. It changes year to year, we can’t fall into the 2020 trap of that otherwise we end up taking a running back in the first round.

They set pats contract the way they did for seasons they wanna push a little bit or pull back and not kick the can down the road.

PS. Mel just had him at #13 to the Jets. I don't watch ESPN and I still know that much.

Lots of chatter out of the combine about him too.

I agree DJ, far more 1st round guys than there should be but Harrison is most likely going higher than people think.

I had him at 14 to New England in my first mock and I'm keeping him there. He's one of the few tackles Bill spent time with at the combine and Oklahoma is a program he's been hot on drafting from lately.

I wonder if Mekhi Becton is available. Saw he's skimmed down quite a bit.

He's an interesting case for sure. Can you trust the injury history at this point though? Imagine the anxiety this place will have if we rolled out with Becton and Niang as starters next year.
