Sugar free, fat free jello chocolate pudding is the bomb. In fact an entire massive bowl of that shit has only 140 calories. LMAO

Not really low carb, though.

So what do the strength type WOD typically look like? Does it include some sort of programming like 'work up to 80% of 1rm for 3 sets of 5' or something along those lines?

Usually something like that. Sometimes they will work up to a 1rm or 3rm. Other times it will be sets of 3 or 5 reps at a % of your 1rm.

I remember doing bench press one day 10 sets of 2 reps. We worked our way up until we couldn't complete 2 reps on our own and then worked back down if necessary. It was was fun & different doing a heavy bench day in a group setting like that.

Most likely no. I'd guess around 50 or so. Everyone is different when it comes to getting and staying into Ketosis.

Nope. Pudding didn't make the cut. The Jello with Heavy Whipping cream has saved me quite a few times. It takes care of the sweet tooth.

The Atkins bars are where the carbs come in, but some of those are sugar alchohal and I think that's something else where each person's body treats it differently. I just focus on the strips.

They don't have bodies that I think are unachievable without it. I feel like a lot of people on here have the "If that duded is bigger than me he must be juicing" mentality.

Let's take their physiques out of the picture from the one posted and look at Crossfit as a sport. Although, those dudes physiques are ridiculous, steroids or not. And if you don't think that, you yourself must be ****ing huge!

The sport of Crossfit rewards monetary incentives for winners and it is not drug tested. I'll bet my life savings that most of the top competitors are juicing. It's just human nature. Hell, look at "tested" sports where guys are being tested and still "cheating" all the time. Until Crossfit gets a serious drug testing policy, you can bet your money many top competitors looking to get paid for working out are doing anabolic cycles. And I can't say I blame them or really care if they are juicing. But let's not pretend Crossfit is this holier than thou sport that is all friendship and fun. It's a competition and people do whatever they can get away with to win.

Well, you nearly inspired me to post a selfie on here, but my hilarious antics in the 'Would You?' thread and the impressive photoshop skills of some people on here have me thinking better of it.

Sorry, lewdog. You'll have to jerk off to something else for now.

I don't disagree with your logic here at all. Are people claiming that everyone is clean and angelic? They may be. I make no such claim.

Ha. I'm more interested in Sac. He sounds like a genetic beast.

I find that my old school weight lifting friends have the superiority complex. They make fun of it like you guys do on here (not necessarily you) and really don't have a great handle on what we do.

Not going to deny that old school weight lifters can be some of the most superiority-laden.

I don't know of any elite crossfitters claiming they got there by only doing the WOD every day.
Froning doesn't come out and say that, but he words his responses carefully to avoid saying that he doesn't just do Crossfit. A cursory glance gives off the impression that's all he does when that's not true.

Where do you pick up the strips at?

Well, there's an example right here in this thread. It started this whole conversation. Sac said that these guys were proof you can get big just doing Crossfit. Neglecting, of course, that they're on gear.

Fair enough. Kyle Kasperbauer, who finished 2nd to Froning in 2012, works out at my gym & he clearly does more than the WOD every day. It's not a secret at all. The dude is a beast. I didn't even know that was a thing. I think most everyone does more than the WOD & it's not a secret.

Yes, regular people see these top competitors all the time and think Crossfit is a magic solution. That was Sac's claim in this thread. Can it work, yes. Can it work to the level of the guys in that picture? Sure, with good genetics and gear. I could take the most gear in the world and still not look like that. Doesn't mean they don't work hard it's just clearly something that most people don't really think about when judging this sport. It is clearly a "dirty sport" if you'd like to call it that. Or one could argue that it's a fair sport because without a testing policy, you are free to do what you like so it isn't against the rules to juice.

I see no reason Crossfit would ever adopt a drug testing policy. They get momentum and people working out by seeing these top competitors. A rash of positive drug tests would really dampen the enthusiasm for working out and building physiques of the everyday joe, which is how these gyms stay open.
