In the past I would join in on the "fun". It's just not worth the effort.

Might as well just pop in some Z Nation and enjoy a real train wreck.

I would rather watch an alternating Z Nation/Johnny Tsunami 30 day marathon than watch another Alex led Chiefs game ..

So on every pass play that is called, the coaches tell Alice to stare down a single receiver? He's not allowed to audible? He can't scramble? He can't thrown the f'n ball in the stands? Hummmm....must be different from every other team. Yes, the play calling sucked and was ultra conservative, but not putting any of the blame on Grbac 2.0 is just wrong.

Reid even said in the TB game the INT was a single read play.

When Smith runs a hurry up offense like in SD and Denver he does exceptionally well. He is just being a good soldier. Although yesterday he was off target on a lot of intermediate throws but then again who wouldn't be in those conditions. Mariota was misfiring often too

But I'm talking about overall the thing that killed the chiefs is the very conservative nature this team has when having the lead in the last two quarters. Believe me I'm a Alex smith fan and I'll defend him to death but with the conservatism mixed in with Andy Reid's decision making is not a good combo. But we see when Reid is overly aggressive and attacks this offense good so I don't know why we don't do so more often

It is hard to be more aggressive when you have a QB who apparently can't read the most basic of coverages and forces a game killing INT into the end zone.

For the second time against an average team

They've lost four games not playing their best football. FOUR.

This season isn't over.

Well said.

I just don't think Reid is particularly good at basic football scheming. Everything he does involves a lot of trickery and decoys and misdirection. Sometimes it works well. But when every play is the swinging gate, it ceases to become effective.

nailed it.

Yep.

I'm getting back to thinking this is the last football season for Alex. If he loses faith that Andy can ever adjust his philosophy, then he will likely conclude that he's both wasting his efforts, and risking his health for nothing.

So there's still hope, people.

The Franchise 12-19-2016 10:22 AM

Yeah....Smith is going to lose faith that Reid won't change his philosophy. ROFL

RippedmyFlesh 12-19-2016 10:23 AM

There is no hope for a ring while smith is qb. I would give reid another shot with a different qb before I passed judgement on him.
