Shocking. A freshman big playing in his first game got 4 fouls really quickly.

Did anyone else during the broadcast hear Dave Armstrong say that the Jayhawks were done until December 7th? I know I heard it and there was a graphic on the screen.

There is a game Saturday, though. Am I crazy?

So we're just going to pretend like his freshman and sophomore years didn't occur? That 2015 Selden was the original and one and only?

Perhaps he meant the next time they're on Jayhawk TV. They're playing on ESPN2 on Sat.

He was one of our best players both of those years as well. The difference this year is that he has consistent scoring. He's always been amazingly talented.

People acted like Brannen Greene - who is visibly nowhere near as good of an all-round player - should have been starting over Selden, which I have always found ridiculous.

I don't dispute that he's amazingly talented and always was. He just didn't do a hell of a lot with that ability for 2 years running. The guy was a horribly inefficient offensive player just last year.

What he's doing right now is great and was always fully within his capability to do (well...not shooting 55% from 3, but being a good two-way player), but it remains to be seen if he keep it up for a full season.

Ah, that's it. THAT BASTARD BETTER BE MORE CLEAR IN THE FUTURE, OR THERE WILL BE HELL TO PAY BUT NOT REALLY CUZ MEH WHATEVER.

Yeah, that's fair. You're right - this year is night and day compared to his ability and confidence the years prior.

But there is an awful lot of "DERP I WILL CALL HIM SELDOM UNTIL I SEE HIM PERFORM" as if he weren't one of our 5 best players. I've never understood the hate. Effort + talent + athleticism. All he was missing was health. I think we see his explosiveness now in a way that hasn't been present since high school.

And his jumper was flat before. There's so much better arc and rotation on his shot now, it's just fantastic to watch.

And don't get me wrong - I like Greene a lot. But he has a long way to go before he deserves a starting spot and he will likely never be better than Selden is.

In fact, I've been thinking about it, and I would love to see Selden land on the Warriors. Unselfish, big wing with floor vision that can hit the three but shouldn't be a primary ball handler. He'd be a hell of a backup to Klay and would fit right into that offense as a reserve.

Keep in mind, it's only been a couple of games.... Selden has had good stretches in the past... and then stretches that he's been absolutely awful. And the one game against great competition (MSU) he stunk - 3-12 from the floor, 1 rebound.

So is there any other program that blacks out games for its local fan base? I'd like to know the answer.
