Jayson Stark of ESPN reports that the Royals have talked to the Reds about Todd Frazier.
Kansas City is committed to Mike Moustakas at third base, so Stark presumes that Frazier would be used in left field if a trade can be worked out between these two teams. Frazier, 29, smashed 35 home runs in 157 games this past season for the Reds and is due just $7.5 million in 2016 with another year of arbitration coming in 2017. It'll take a big haul to pluck him away from Cincinnati, but the Reds do seem fully prepared to move him this winter. |

**** you Marlins...
@jcrasnick: #Marlins have aimed high in their Marcell Ozuna trade talks -- i.e., Yordano Ventura, Taijuan Walker, Danny Salazar. Serious asks. |
Starks column mentions they asked about Jay Bruce...it would take Raul Mondesi and Almonte to get Frazier. Not gonna happen.

I mention with respect to framing, which he sacrifices some to make sure he keeps everything in front of him. Reasonable tradeoff, IMO, given the makeup of our staff . |

I know $$$ and years rule supreme, but playing in KC is no longer suffering through 100 losses to pick up a paycheck, and the young guys have a bond coming up through the organization together. |

It is what it is now, I'm not going to start being that guy - the ungrateful fan who armchair GMs every decision as if operating in a bubble with zero other circumstances to weigh and consider. |

Quick thoughts:
Marcell Ozuna is going to be a Marlin again next year if that's the asking price and they don't bend on it. Re: Todd Frazier... It would be hard to give up Mondesi for KC because his floor seems to be Escobar-esque, and the system doesn't have much behind him. Trading him now would put KC under the gun on Escobar come 2017, where it might have to sign him even if he's fading because there's no one else to go to. |
Cubs & Cards bidding for Heyward. I bet the loser goes hard after Gordon.
