Mahomes is absolutely playing impatient against the shell d. He wants to make ridiculous 15 yard throws or go deep instead of just taking the easy 5-7 yard flat throw that teams are leaving him.

Nah he has the opposite issue. Smith and Cassie were to passive and never firved the issue, Mahomes is forcing the issue when he shouldn't be.
