From a personnel standpoint, I don't think we're far away from being 3-3. We're a long way from being a competitive playoff team. On defense, we've played pretty well, but have given up way too many big plays. A good safety would have limited those.

I think we can be .500 next year. I think people are being way too pessimistic. A little talent upgrade in a few spots should make a noticeable difference. Not saying that we are close to competing for a playoff spot or anything. Just saying that a few positions of subpar play can make everything else look worse.
