I initially guessed Zach Baun, but in looking at the pre-draft visits, I think it'll be a cornerback. Maybe Terrell.

Doubt he falls that far..

Charkandrick West had an extended stay in KC for this quality alone. I cannot see a situation where Bieniemy/McCullough sign off on him because of this. Yes he can learn, but between fumbles by Shady, the durability of Williams 1 and 2, and Thompson’s lacklustre debut, I’m thinking they might be clamouring for a complete back who excels in all phases. CEH is a great talent, but I think he’s more a James White/Dion Lewis type of back.

James White and Dion Lewis aren't nearly the talented runners that CEH is.

Yes, he's not a good pass blocker. He's not perfect. But he's also just a one year starter. His pass blocking can and will improve.

As a runner though, he has elite lateral agility. He's not a burner. He won't be racing anyone to the end zone. But his short area quickness is the best on film ive seen of the major backs.

And i think short area quickness: The ability to start, stop, accelerate, jump cut and cut back laterally is crucial to being a good NFL running back. He has excellent patience, gets a low pad level and great vision. He's decisive when he hits the hole as well.

He's not James White/Dion Lewis. He's more of a La'veon Bell/Darren Sproles hybrid.

Agree.

Also, what is everyones obsession with the RB's and pass blocking straight out of college, none of them are asked to do it very often at all. You should be happy if the guy even shows a willingness to do it.

If pass blocking was a requirement well the Chiefs would almost never draft a RB again.

Plus, how in the world is a Center going to be able to call all of the line protections and communicate with the other four starters if they haven't practiced extensively together in Reid's system?

It would make more sense for the Chiefs to draft a center/guard in the 4th or 5th than in the first round so that he could learn the scheme, playcalls and protections without being forced to do so on Day One with zero experience.

This can't be emphasized nearly enough.

Some are quite good coming out. Dobbins is one of them. I do agree you shouldn't expect them to be amazing, but they damn well should show some adequacy

Normally I don't care for taking a RB in the 1st but since we are so far down how can you pass up on a RB named Swift???

Yep.

I always wonder if some of the people that are against RB in the 1st would be ok with it if we were picking at 33.

lol. not this guy.

I'm okay with one after pick 75, how 'bout dat?

I wonder what the correlation is between those that champion a RB in the 1st and those willing to pork Chelsea Clinton?

I love watching CEH..just think he lacks the burst to be special.

ThyKingdomCome15 04-23-2020 04:29 PM

I'm telling you right now. Edwards-Hellaire is as good as any RB in this class.

I'm okay with lot's of options in round one including RB. Definite no to Clinton.
