I am a moron and consistently wrong regarding all things gambling. So I don't know what the bet is, but I know that's wrong, and there has to be an opportunity there.

The public is big on the Lions. I don't think the sharps necessarily are.

You do that. And while you're remembering, Remember this.

Andy Reid lost the big game more times than he won it. Often while favored to win. The idea isn't to simply just get there.

If just getting to post season is the goal, then God damn I bet you loved you some Marty Schottenheimer.

Are the Bills revered for reaching 4 straight Superbowls, or are they viciously mocked for losing all four?

Am I going too fast for you?

If the Super Bowl is the "big game" you are referencing then your statement is factually incorrect.

Andy Reid has a career record of 2-2 in the Super Bowl, including 2-1 as HC of the Chiefs.

No head coach was winning against that Buccaneers team with that OL and those refs. I’ll give Andy a pass for that one.

And the Britt Reid distraction.

There are definitely legit qualifiers for that loss that have nothing to do with Andy Reid's ability to coach in a big game.

I do have some held out hope that FAU comes out as a rookie and has a hellacious year.

Reid might be the best ever. He likely won't be most accomplished. He spent too much of his career making Donovan McNabb & Alex Smith look decent.

When you get into coaching acumen & teams being prepared I think of the stretch with Mahomes out in 2019 & Henne going 100 yards in relief in the po's. Not to mention being so prepared that they could go for it on 4th down against the Browns & execute flawlessly.

Not to mention depantsing the Eagles twice in the 2h of the super bowl.

Good thing we don't play Buffalo and Cinci til later in the season

If that's the case, KC will be fine. it would be nice to have Jones, but it also would've been nice to have Tyreek Hill last year.

saphojunkie 09-05-2023 11:37 AM

How could we survive without Chris Jones? Well a good start would probably be to spend back to back first rounders on pass rushers.

I would also draft like 7 DBs over the last two years

That's not the right question. The question is when did that happen, and who was on the DL when that happened? And how do they compare with the DL currently?

Though I believe the answer to any questions about the defense is "it doesn't matter. We have Mahomes," or some shit like that.

I would think the current defense is far more talented top to bottom than at any time during the Mahomes era, and the DL in particular hasn't been reliable since Mahomes was drafted.

At least now there is some real talent at LB and DB. The loss of Jones can be overcome.
