That's the prevailing speculation.

Any average NFL RB would be doing what Morris is doing this season or what McGahee did with Denver in 2011. Even Lance Ball averaged 4.8 ypc on nearly 100 carries.

Whether we lose one or both the Chiefs d-line is not nearly as devoid of talent as you are making it out to be. Compared to what the Cardinals have to do on their o-line, our d-line is in much better shape. Our secondary is what we need to address on defense. Not the ILB you keep brining up which is one of least positions of need on any defense.

Yeah their o-line sucks. What is your point? That it is not going to be as easy a fix as you are suggesting? No one is arguing against that a large part of their troubles are o-line but to suggest that is an easy fix and our issues are somehow much tougher is disingenuous.

And again, a premise of yours is that Whisenhunt is a good coach, with which I agree. Well why couldn't they have a better year if they supposedly have all this talent? And if the reason they didn't have a good year is because of o-line and QB, well then you are underestimating how important those things are to that team. It is either Whisenhunt isn't that good or the talent isn't clearly better than any other teams'. Either way one of your arguments is wrong, so which do you choose?

What a bunch of bullshit.

Jackson, Dorsey, Bailey, Smith and Pituatoa SUCK. Silar is garbage. I'm healthier than Kendrick Lewis and I'm 47 years old.

You can argue all you want but that doesn't change the fact that the Chiefs need a shit ton of personnel on BOTH sides of the ball before they can compete for the playoffs, especially considering there's not an RGIII or Andrew Luck or even a Cam Newton available this year.

I said it in 2009 and I'll say it again in 2013: Scott Pioli set this franchise back FIVE YEARS with the selections of Tyson Jackson and Matt Cassel and it could be several more years before they're ready to compete consistently.

Of course.

Scott Pioli has abdicated his role as GM since he's now the Devil.

Brock 01-02-2013 05:31 PM

Jesus ****ing christ. The worst gm since matt millen gets to keep his job and people here are rationalizing it? "Well, he'll just be handling contracts"

**** this.

O.city 01-02-2013 05:32 PM

Funny that a few days ago it was, "Pioli can't do anything, dude is an asshole, successful at nothing"

Now we are contemplating it being ok to keep him around in any capacity?

Reid has to test Scooter's BJ skills.

Reid is not Pioli's potential replacement. Pioli is still on the payroll. Like I said....we've heard nothing about Pioli in the interview. FFS....he could've just sat there while Hunt did the interview.

ChiefMojo 01-02-2013 05:32 PM

Again if Pioli is here next season, it will be in a role no different than he was in New England. If that isn't true and he still runs the teams... then you can call Clark on the lie.

I've never said that.

I want Pioli gone, but at the same time I can see his worth and it's not in the personnel department. It's obvious, to me, that for Clark firing Pioli is the last resort. If it came down to dividing power by giving Reid personnel power and moving Pioli back into his NE role, then I'll take it, at least until the Chiefs pass on a QB with the #1 pick.

From my understanding Reid would want personnel control so basically Scott is left with ball washing duties

I'm not. I'm just not going to freak the **** out because Pioli was in an interview.

I've already stated that if Pioli is with this organization next year.....I'm not here as a fan. So it's a win/win for me. Pioli is gone and I get to be a fan. Pioli is back and my Sundays are ****ing open.

So why take him? If you are working a buyout, why take him?

It would be nice if it were our decision to make, but it's not.

So we are gonna pay him a metric **** ton of money to be a consultant?
