Either Fasano or Kelce will have 500 receiving yards.

If Brokeaki can get 450 with Matt ****ing Cassel and Quinn, then I see no reason why one of those TE's listed above can't get 500 with a better QB in a very TE friendly offense.

Alex Smith throws dinks and dunks.

Not hard to do the math.

Charles will catch dinks and dunks...too.

-The Difference-

McCluster will spin, get touched, and fail.

Charles will cut, see daylight, and burn.

Do you even watch this team...?

Hammock Parties 06-28-2013 09:13 PM

Splitting hairs.

The point is, Alex Smith can easily reach his pathetic potential with Avery having less than 500 yards.

The Seahawks won nothing last year

Yes, but he still had 104 targets. And he was a legit downfield threat.

This was not the 49ers passing game with Alex Smith.

That's the point. Alex Smith is our QB. Donnie Avery will probably be lucky to get 60 targets next year.

As I watched the replay of the '94 Bronco's/Chiefs Monday Night Game last week, I couldn't help think that Smith could put the ball in the air 50+ times in a game and be successful... just like Montana did that night.

Now don't read into this that I said Smith is as good as Montana. However, the game plan that night in Denver could be pulled off by Reid and Smith.

List of 4,000 yard passers that won nothing last year:

Drew Brees
Matthew Stafford
Tony Romo
Aaron Rodgers
Josh Freeman
Carson Palmer
Peyton Manning

List of 3200 or below QB's that won "something"

Russell Wilson

List of 3200 or below that made the playoffs:

Russell Wilson
RGIII (although that's unfair because he missed a game)
Christian Ponder

List of 3200 or below "Noted" QB's that won nothing:

Ben Rothlisberger
Jay Cutler

This will not be the 49ers passing game either.
Pop quiz. Who is known as the most pass happy HC in the league?
Hint: its not Jim Harbaugh.

It's Alex Smith.

Our #2 receiver is not going to be all that involved.

Mark my words.

So we're bringing our passing game up to 1994 standards?

Cool.

I'm convinced now.

Passing the ball down the field is stupid.

I'm not particularly fond of Dane's posting style, but he has repeatedly kicked your ass in this thread.

Right, because that's exactly what those stats indicate.

More false narrative. The mod's should change your user name to Cherry Pickin' Hater.

Aren't you on a plane yet, Mr. Ovitz?

We've got record heat this weekend so the beaches will be packed.

:D

Yeah, whatever. He's just a dumb homer (which is a pity, he used to have a brain), and so are you.
