Has that been accomplished since the days of the great Tyler Falco?

This is a little concerning. Couple this with Kelce's comments about the "conservative" play-calling and I'm kind of concerned about the psyche of the offense right now.

Reid is whispering sweet nothings in alex's ear instead of pointing that out.

It's a lot concerning.

I think the best we can hope for right now is that they are learning valuable lessons. I think Reid now knows that the offense is capable of opening it up and being dynamic and dangerous, as spurts against Atlanta, Oakland and even Denver showed.

And after winning repeatedly by spending the 2nd half just trying to take the air out of the football, I'm hoping this loss is a wakeup call that shows him that his margin for error in doing that is pretty slim.

That said, despite everything that this team did poorly yesterday, they could've still done 90% of those things equally poorly and won that game. That's the scary part...or maybe positive part. If you're hoping for a change from Andy, the scary part is that he could easily conclude that they just shot themselves in the foot a dozen times and had they only done it 10 times, they'd have still won so stay the course, just do it better.

If you're resigned to the probability that this is who Reid is, then you hang onto the hope that the odds of the Chiefs shooting themselves in the foot a dozen times each game aren't that great and that this is still a winning formula if executed at even 80% efficiency.

As for me, man the **** if I know. This team is just bizarre and I'm completely out of ways to predict what it will do. All I can do at this point is try to take individual lessons away from each game in the hopes that eventually the picture is clearer.

The chiefs scored in the 2nd half in all of palko's starts. Don't diss him like that.

The worst part about it is all we can do is watch the sinking ship. There is no way to pitch in and help this team win.

I mean, I guess we could fly another banner stating our demands....

Are you really convinced it's sinking?

Again - the Titans have been playing outstanding football of late. And the Chiefs just spent an entire game doing pretty much everything possible to lose that game.

And it still took one last act of unparalleled idiocy (ugh...icing a kicker who had no idea if he had the leg to get the distance, incredible) for the Titans to pull that one out.

If the Chiefs, who played one of the most lifeless, disjointed, scattershot games of football you'll ever see, still needed their own head coach to essentially slit their throats to fully and finally lose to a quality opponent, isn't there a chance that it doesn't go that way in the playoffs? 90% as shitty and they still win that game. They didn't have to play well, just don't play quite that ****ing bad. That's eminently doable and truth be told, it would be hard to play that poorly with any regularity. That's Browns level ineptitude right there.

Maybe it is sinking - like I said, my feel for this team is just completely gone. But I'm not willing to definitively write this team off either. We've shot a few holes in the boat, sure, but I'm not sold on the idea that they're fatal at this point.

I wasn't mad yesterday. This team was never beating New England.

You guys and your freaking stats. Smith is an average QB who is never going to carry the team on his back and fail if he is the focal point. Why is it so hard to see for you guys? He sucks and you are not winning anything as long as he is your QB.

I told you guys. Why is it so hard for some of you to see? The high turnover ratio and riding a gimmick offense will fail soon enough.

Let that sink in for a second.

Oh, and Harris had 20, and Shags and Jah Reid combined for 15.

What.

One of the best FBs in the game.....and he doesn't play. Makes perfect sense.

Tyler Palko had a higher career QB rating that Alice Smiff did yesterday!

It's been that way all year, man.

He has 11 games with less than 15 offensive snaps.

Did he get a single carry? I don't recall it if he did.

On the 4th down call I was hoping he'd get it and on a later 3rd and short call I was hoping he'd get it as well. Sherman is a very good up-back and with Ware's mass/acceleration, you could really do a nice job of just having Sherman get low, pound into the line and then have Ware just ram into him.

It's almost impossible to me that they never once tried that. I still can't believe that 4th down call. Going for it was the right decision (and by a fair amount, IMO) but man, how do you run the same play that didn't work immediately before it when your line hasn't shown an ability to win at the point of attack all year.

They needed to do something quick and the hand-off to the upback would've been enough for the OL to get just a little breathing room right as the ball is snapped. Sherman gets there before they're driven back by the more physical Titans front and breaks the plane.

Just another log on top of the shitpile that was Sunday's effort.

No...no he didn't.

Wins and Losses don't mean as much to me as the eye test. Our defense and special teams are legit but our offense is pure garbage. The WINS this team have luckily pulled off has masked the fact that the offense needs something to bring a spark. Could be a new playcaller, a change at QB, SOMETHING. The offense is not getting better, and it is nowhere near good enough to Trent Dilfer or Brad Johnson it's way to a SB win.

Yes, without attempting to plug the holes... this team is a sinking ship.
