Does anyone have a clue where Tua will go?

Red Dawg 04-23-2020 04:39 PM

Hard to imagine us picking tonight. Best players long gone. Trade out probably at 80%.

We’d obviously prefer to trade down but get out of here with this doom and flood shit we could still get a great player at 32.

This draft is going to be very unpredictable.

I think I’m going to only stay on CP tonight. No twitter scoopage for me unless it’s in regards to info on a pick that’s already happened.

This draft is going to be the definition of reality tv. I can’t wait

I give you more credit than that, but you just know there are some that would lol.

lol definitely.

I've always seen value later at the RB position, but maybe that's just me? I think they're easy to find and one of the easiest positions to project/scout. I was all over guys like Aaron Jones and so forth over the years so maybe it tarnishes the luster of these early round guys for me. I think there's a lot of value this year throughout the mid-rounds and even into the late stages again.

I think there's another guy out there similar to Antonio Gibson that has low miles but didn't run a 4.39, he ran a 4.65... but you watch the tape and he's pretty electric is Javon Leake out of Maryland. Might be a guy to watch. Could carve out a Tevin Coleman-like committee role. Don't think he's a full-time feature guy but you never know.

I think Lamical Perine (Florida), Rodney Smith (Minnesota), DeeJay Dallas (Miami), Xavier Jones (SMU), Scottie Phillips (Ole Miss) and Michael Warren (Cincinnati) would be the guys I'd put the most stock into being value picks or UDFA pickups that make a dent in the league.

Don't get me wrong, I absolutely love Dobbins and Swift and so forth, but I don't think you need to put that kind of capital into a RB and I especially don't think you do so with a team that is strongly a pass-first team like KC.

I'm going with D'Andre Swift

I'm at least 11 beers away from that, but working on it.

I agree that there is value all over this draft for the RB position. That said, I'd be stoked to have Swift. Other guys I like a lot are Moss and Gibson, others on this board have mentioned these two as well. I'm sure the other 8 or so quality RBs in this draft are just as good or maybe better in some ways, seems like we can't lose this year if we grab a runner.

I think WR, DB, RB are super deep this year.

Ian Rappaport final mock has us taking

DT ROSS BLACKLOCK
COLLEGE - TCU

CLASSr-Junior
HEIGHT-6' 3"
WEIGHT-290 lbs
ARMS-32 3/8”
HANDS-9 3/4”

Ok.

Barring an out of left field trade for Chris Jones AND if there is no trade down opportunity, I think the Chiefs will select:

Antoine Winfield Jr., DB, Minnesota.

The instincts, physicality and ball skills are superb. You have to do your homework regarding his medicals, but this kid is destined for greatness if he can stay healthy. He would be another versatile piece for the secondary and could get great mentorship from Mathieu.

Everyone knows I’m a big JK Dobbins fan, but I only think the Chiefs could legitimately look at him only after a trade down into the early/mid second round.

That’s three major Talking Heads that have mocked Blacklock to the Chiefs in the past couple days. What do they know? This worries me...

I’m more worried that it signals Chris Jones is not for long.
