The playoff was an ultimate flop in its first year. The opening games were all snooze fests that proved you really don’t need to be letting that many into the discussion in the first place. Now a team that wasn’t even good enough to make it to their conference title game is favored in the National Championship because they’re playing a team that lost to Northern Illinois this season on their home field. They diluted the product way too much.
