Yes, but he was stabilized and is improving. They should have played tonight and next Monday...

How about NO. Play the game or take the L.

Especially since the Bengals looked like they were dialed in on Monday...

So just skimmed the last 40 or so posts and it looks like the NFL still hasn't said anything about rescheduling the game?

There's so much logistical machinery involved in putting on a primetime game, it's hard to figure how much lead time they need to make it happen, but I'm going to guess that they'd have to have a definitive answer about when they were going to play it by . . . Monday at the latest.

eliminate the bye week, and I think they could make that happen, and then everything works out the way it should without a lot of weirdness.

I vote the Bills game.

I certainly wish that Colts game could be removed from the record books, along with just about every other time we’ve played them.

Also, I seriously doubt Buffalo really wants to go back to Cincy in the next week or so and relive all this again. Obviously, they may have no choice if seedings work out that way to go back for the playoffs, but I can't imagine the mental aspect if they are forced to replay this regular season game.

What we’re your thoughts when Belcher killed himself in front of players and coaches?

That's not unprecedented.

You see players gather and get emotional whenever there is a serious injury that requires the player to be carted off the field.

It happened when Tua was knocked out of the Cincy game earlier this year.

What IS unprecedented is Buffalo being allowed to NOT continue with the game without any forfeit repercussions.

All we know is Week 18 games are going on as scheduled and it looks like the Bills are probably playing. So no one has been inconvenienced in any material way at this point.

Right, it might be the league taking it out of their hands. We'll see. If the choice is reschedule the playoffs or take the Bills agreement to forfeit, it's very hard to believe they wouldn't just accept the latter. Of course as I type that I realize they are all about the PR and might somehow believe the reschedule is a better look for them.

That seems to be the problem. Don’t want to play and don’t want the repercussions of that decision either. Every other team needs to pay for that decision but Buffalo.

Already suggested that to everyone I know from the last bit of BS from the media about this. LMAO

Agreed. That post was in response to DJLNs post about players on the team not being tight with each other and equating it to an office or another type of business.

Actually, it does affect some Chiefs fans lives. Maybe not in a major way but, yes, whether we have 2 or 3 playoff games at home, it does have an effect.

It's odd to me that all these other wacky solutions are out there.

agreed. The only downside to not playing the game is it gives a competitive advantage to both the Bengals and Bills for basically having a bye week and playing one less game. But probably no solution is going to be perfect

Except...they weren't.

6-8 were. Most were standing around somber but composed. Others were wide-eyed.

But again, that's still FAR different from not being capable of doing your job 72 hours later.

These are adults, almost all of whom have dealt with loss in their lives. To pretend like they're suddenly weeping toddlers is just the same hysteria I'm referring to and does them a disservice.

Should be irrelevant what the Chiefs do against the Raiders if the Bills and Bengals game cannot be rescheduled.

You might not be the dumbest mother ****er on the planet, but you'd better hope he doesn't die
