So just skimmed the last 40 or so posts and it looks like the NFL still hasn't said anything about rescheduling the game?
There's so much logistical machinery involved in putting on a primetime game, it's hard to figure how much lead time they need to make it happen, but I'm going to guess that they'd have to have a definitive answer about when they were going to play it by . . . Monday at the latest. eliminate the bye week, and I think they could make that happen, and then everything works out the way it should without a lot of weirdness. |

You see players gather and get emotional whenever there is a serious injury that requires the player to be carted off the field. It happened when Tua was knocked out of the Cincy game earlier this year. What IS unprecedented is Buffalo being allowed to NOT continue with the game without any forfeit repercussions. |

6-8 were. Most were standing around somber but composed. Others were wide-eyed. But again, that's still FAR different from not being capable of doing your job 72 hours later. These are adults, almost all of whom have dealt with loss in their lives. To pretend like they're suddenly weeping toddlers is just the same hysteria I'm referring to and does them a disservice. |
