NFL sent a memo that the floor for the cap is $180 million. A shit load of cuts, trades and restructured deals are going to happen in the next month.
This FA could also be a massive benefit for us. Analysts think a lot of FA’s are gonna have to have cheap 1 year deals this year with the cap issue and then hope to get paid next year when things get back on track. What better place for players to come on a 1 year deal to rebuild their brand than here? Especially WR’s |

It’s going to be interesting to see what happens. Players want more than one year because of injuries that happen. I wonder if they’ll take multi year deals for less money just so they have some sort of security.

Didn’t Veach say something about Chiefs being in “great shape” if the cap was around $180?
